UA Miami Top Performers

MIAMI, Fla. – Over 100 of the top prospects in the Sunshine State made their way to South Florida to take part in the Miami stop of the Under Armour Next Series – the third event of the year. The event featured dozens of blue-chip prospects from the 2025, 2026 and 2027 cycles.

On3 was on hand at Ives Estates Park on Sunday to take in the action. Here are On3’s top performers from the day, headlined by an On300 pass-catcher who put on a masterclass of route-running and technical ability over the course of the day.

On3 MVP: Cortez Mills

Cortez Mills was the clear standout among a stacked wide receiver group at Under Armour Miami. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder was the top pass-catcher on hand throughout drills and 1-on-1’s. We didn’t see Mills effectively covered all day with several of his reps in 1-on-1s resulting in emphatic wins. Mills is a smooth technician with natural wiggle and shake within his routes. He consistently breaks off defenders at the route stem. We saw him break two different defensive backs’s ankles in 1-on-1’s. Mills followed that up with a eye-popping contested catch, out-leaping the corner to come down with a high-point grab – perhaps the most impressive catch we saw on the day.

Mills’ showing on Sunday backs up his play on Friday nights. He’s among the most productive high school receivers in the 2025 cycle, catching 79 passes for 1,640 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading Homestead (Fla.) High to a state title appearance. Mills, who ranks as the No. 153 in the On300 has official visits scheduled for Clemson (May 31), Florida (June 7), Nebraska (June 14) and Miami (June 21).

2. DL Floyd Boucard

Floyd Boucard was on a mission on Sunday. The native Canadian was the top performer among linemen on the day and had a number of impressive wins in OL-DL 1-on-1’s. Boucard flashed excellent first step quickness and active hands in quickly dispatching the majority of offensive linemen he faced. The quickness and violence on contact point to an ideal skill set for playing within tight quarters. The compactly built Boucard had a big junior season at Mobile (Ala.) Christian, notching 27 tackles for loss and 11 sacks before transferring to Miami (Fla.) Central. Boucard is set to take officials to Oklahoma, Michigan State and Louisville.

3. WR Joshua Moore

Joshua Moore was among the most physically imposing wideouts on hand at Under Armour Miami. The Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward product looked like at true outside receiver on Sunday. Moore looked all of 6-foot-3, 200 and showed strong movement skills at that size. The change of direction and burst within his routes was notable. He also flashed solid ball skills. We saw Moore come away with a nice wins in 1-on-1’s, using his physical traits to overwhelm defensive backs. While some on hand may be more polished at this stage, few if any pass catchers showed more advanced physical traits and upside.

4. RB Derrek Cooper (2026)

Derrek Cooper was the top performer in a solid running back group at Under Armour Miami. The 2026 prospect more than passes the eye test, looking to be a solid build at over 6-feet. Cooper was a standout in drills, catching our eye with effortless fluidity and overall movement skills. That carried over into the 1-on-1 portion, with Cooper having a number of nice wins, including one rep where he tracked the ball over his shoulder for a would-be touchdown on a wheel route. The South Florida standout played his sophomore season at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons prior to transferring to Chaminade-Madonna. Cooper has played on both sides of the ball to this point in his high school career, but looked natural as a running back at Under Armour Miami.

5. CB Ben Hanks

We didn’t see a defensive back with a stronger 1-on-1 session than Ben Hanks on Sunday at Under Armour Miami. The Miami Booker T. Washington defensive back locked horns with Winston Watkins Jr. and came away with a nice win in the matchup towards the end of the camp. Hanks has a lean build and showed good reactive quickness in redirecting to stay in-phase with receivers. We also liked the awareness he showed in tracking and making plays on the ball. Hanks has June officials set for Florida, Georgia and Miami.

6. DL Myron Charles

Myron Charles entered as the most touted defensive lineman on hand and lived up to his blue-chip billing. For starters, Charles looks to have made encouraging physical progress and looked more comfortable in the camp setting than at this time last year. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder is an explosive mover off of the snap and made easy work of offensive linemen on the handful of 1-on-1 reps we saw him take. Though it was a limited sample, Charles’ initial twitch, active hands and easy wins stood out within the defensive line group to the point where he’s an easy inclusion as a top performer. Miami and Florida are two teams to watch according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

7. QB Dia Bell (2026)

Dia Bell looked like the most consistent passer of the course of the day at Under Armour Miami. The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage passer showed nice accuracy, mechanics, footwork and overall polish over the course of the afternoon. Bell looks to have added some size over the past year and has continued to bolster his arm strength. He spun the ball well for the most part and the majority of his passes we saw looked to be on target. We also liked how his footwork was smooth and in sync during his drops. Bell delivered a beautiful arcing pass on a wheel route during one-on-one’s that caught our eye. Miami, Florida, LSU and Penn State are teams in the mix for the NBA legacy early on.

8. RB Shawn Simeon

No running back took and won more reps at Under Armour Miami than Shawn Simeon. The Naples (Fla.) High rusher was at the front of the line during RB-LB 1-on-1’s and was a problem for opposing linebackers. Simeon used his speed to attack linebackers vertically and was able to create separation with his top end on go routes. He also showed solid ball skills, in coming down with most if not all of his targets – of note considering he plays in a veer offense at the high school level and has limited pass catching opportunities on Friday nights.

9. CB Tae Harris

Tae Harris gets the nod as the second defensive back in the top ten due to the combination of athleticism and technical polish he showed on Sunday at Under Armour Miami. Harris is well known as a top athlete, sporting a personal best 10.73 mark in the 100 meters. On Sunday, we were able to see that high-end speed functionally translate to playing cornerback, leading to him being identified as a standout among the defensive back group by the Under Armour staff. The Cedartown (Ga.) High defender showed a smooth and fast backpedal in drills. He also flashed outstanding change of direction. Harris has a well-built physique and should come to college more physically developed than many of his peers. Georgia Tech, Clemson, LSU and Ole Miss are among the teams in the mix for the one-time Georgia commit.

10. QB Ryder Lyons (2026)

Ryder Lyons challenged Dia Bell for the best showing among quarterbacks at Under Armour Miami. Lyons made the trek all the way from the Sacramento area and turned in a good day on Sunday. He was particularly strong during the 1-on-1 period, hitting several vertical shots for touchdowns. Lyons impressed with his ability to read leverage and deliver accurate passes into tight quarters. He looks to be a stock up prospect coming off of a hyper-productive junior season at NorCal powerhouse Folsom (Calif.) High, accounting for over 4,500 total yards and 61 touchdowns last fall. The younger brother of 2023 USC tight end signee Walker Lyons, has offers from the likes of Oregon, USC, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Texas A&M and UCLA among others.

Additional notes

+ Ohio State wide receiver commit Jayvan Boggs just missed making the top ten. While he’s not overly flashy, the Cocoa (Fla.) High standout is a highly reliable target in the short and intermediate areas of the field. He showed some of the best hands on the day. Winston Watkins Jr. was very comfortable in this setting, relying on his polish and high skill level to come away with some nice wins in 1-on-1’s. 2026 prospect Calvin Russell looked to be the tallest receiver on hand. Russell, who doubles as a a top basketball player has significant physical upside. On300 receiver Naeshaun Montgomery was smooth in drills and 1-on-1’s. Miami commit Waden Charles caught our eye with his physical traits and twitchy athleticism. Dwayne Wimbley is another jumbo pass-catcher who doubles as a basketball player who passed the eye test.

+ 2026 safety Justice Fitzpatrick had a case as the most physically impressive defensive back on hand at Under Armour Miami. The younger brother of former Alabama star and current Pittsburgh Steeler Minkah Fitzpatrick has made impressive physical strides and looked outstanding moving through drills. He would’ve pushed for an appearance in the top ten, but was held out of 1-on-1’s due to an injury. 2025 On300 cornerback Chris Ewald impressed with his fluidity in coverage. Touted Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage defensive back Gregory Thomas showed good ball skills. He may be more of a safety long-term. 2027 corner Jaylyn Jones is another who drew praise from the Under Armour staff.

+ On300 running back Deandre Desinor flashed burst and ball skills during RB-LB 1-on-1’s. Desinor had a fantastic over the shoulder grab on a wheel route. Jaquari Lewis is another running back who caught our eye with his pass-catching ability.

+ 2026 Miami linebacker commit Jordan Campbell looked to have one of the more translatable frames among linebackers on hand. Campbell has plenty of length and room to fill out. He also showed the ability to stay in-phase with running backs on wheel routes. Though not the biggest, Ezekiel Marcelin was able to make plays in 1-on-1’s closing quickly to make plays on the ball.

+ Penn State commit Bekkem Kritza was the top name among 2025 quarterback prospects on hand and showed a live arm in drills.

+ The line of scrimmage talent wasn’t loaded at Under Armour Miami, but a handful of prospects still caught our eye. Jeremy Scott out of Miami Central was among the top performers on the offensive line and looked to have the best frame for an offensive tackle prospect on hand. He’ll need to fill out, but the length and room for growth are intriguing. USF commit Caleb Harris was the most consistent offensive lineman on the day, showing strong technique and a good anchor. On the defensive front Wilnerson Telemaque had some of the most notable length on hand and used his long arms to disrupt offensive linemen en route to wins during 1-on-1’s. Randy Adirika also had some nice moments during the 1-on-1 period.
