Utah RB transfer Jaylon Glover commits to UNLV

While UNLV is losing Tony Grimes to the transfer portal, the Rebels did add a transfer portal running back on Monday.

Former Utah running back Jaylon Glover has committed to UNLV out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

Glover announced his plan to enter the portal in November while the regular season was still ongoing. He saw a reduced role in 2024 after being a steady presence in the Utes backfield. Before portaling, he appearing in three games this past season and had 12 carries to show for it.

He is the first transfer portal commit for new head coach Dan Mullen. Glover revealed to On3’s Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons that Mullen contacted Glover “as soon as he got the job.”

Mullen made sure that Glover was one of, if not the first recruit to come see everything that UNLV has to offer in Vegas. Glover believes the program is a “perfect fit for me to go dominate that league.” He told Simmons, ‘who doesn’t want to play every home game in Allegiant Stadium?’
