Unveiling the final 2025 On3 150 rankings

The 2025 On3 150 player rankings have been updated. This is the eleventh and final ranking for this class, debuting a top 50 in September of 2022 and expanding that 50 to 75 in March of 2023. We first broadened our 2025 class rankings to a full 150 in July of 2023, and this is our eighth update since fully expanding the list. This April 2025 update is based on 1) in-person evaluations from the high school season and all-star games and 2) continued film study and intel on prospects.
Since the last update in February, we have seen the high school playoffs come and go as well as the post-season all-star circuit. On3 has attended live events/viewings while also collecting streams to comb through the film as we ensure the maximum exposure of countless events and players.
The ranking process is a continual and often fluid one. On3 starts ranking recruits after their freshman-year travel season, prior to the start of their sophomore high school seasons. That recruit can look a lot different for our final ranking after their senior year championships and all-star games are played.
We have spent the last several weeks working on this 2025 update so that it will reflect the most accurate and current representation for the final update of the recruiting cycle. This work has resulted in 14 players making their debut in the 2025 On3 150. We also have players represented in our 2025 ratings from six of the seven continents across the world. Our national team has continued collecting data on the previously ranked players, putting eyes through the 2025 On3 150 ranking process.
With this as the final ranking update for this cycle, the goal of the basketball rankings at On3 is to assess a prospect’s long-term potential. As we continue forward, a player’s performance on the court and their continued growth will outweigh the earlier rankings. Again, every player’s arc is different, and each ranking is a snapshot in time.
Here are some storylines from On3’s final update of a full 150 for the 2025 class.
Grading the 2025 On3 150
The basketball player rankings scale is as follows: Five-star prospects have grades 98-100, four-star recruits have grades 90-97, and 80-89 grades are for three stars.
The first 14 prospects in this update are five stars with a rating of 98 or higher. The players ranked No. 15 through 110 are classified as four-star prospects with grades from 90-97. The remainder of the 150 and position rankings are considered three-star prospects.
Our goal is to assess a prospect’s long-term potential, ultimately manifested by the NBA Draft. The goal of the ranking is not to assess who had the best high school career or who will be the best college player. This is why we will shoot to end each cycle with 14 five-star prospects following the lead of the NBA Draft Lottery. The vision is draft night.
AJ Dybantsa remains No. 1 from start to finish
AJ Dybantsa reclassified up into the 2025 recruiting cycle in October of 2023. At that time, he was immediately placed into the No. 1 spot in the class rankings. Since that update, and through On3’s final seven for the class, Dybantsa held serve in the No. 1 spot.
The biggest discussion surrounding the top of this cycle came in the last update (February, 2025). Since then, throughout the end-of-year all-star games, Dybantsa asserted himself, creating separation on the floor amongst his peers. It seemed at every stop, whether it was the USA Basketball minicamps, Peach Jam, or McDonald’s All-American week, that the 6-foot-9 BYU signee would step his game to a new level.
When looking toward the highest levels of basketball, Dybtansa brings plus positional size with good length. Listed at 6-foot-9, he has ball skills, shooting touch, and athletic fluidity that simply bleed upside as a wing. This season, Dybantsa has continued to add to his already dynamic game. He is decisive when getting downhill, making his move, getting his defender off balance, and attacking the advantage. He has footwork in the mid range, with the ability to self-create space to get clean looks consistently. As he continues to tighten the balance points of his jump shot, he has consistently remained the clear alpha on each court he steps on.
For the final update, the No. 1 position was not really lengthy discussion. The crossroad of attainable ceiling and current production was too hard to ignore with Dybantsa, putting him in a top tier by himself. With that said, the conversation behind Dybantsa, Nos. 2 through 6 was a lengthy discussion for where players were slotted.
Continuing an open dialogue across multiple NBA scouts, Tennessee signee Nate Ament, Kansas signee Darryn Peterson, Duke signee Cam Boozer, UNC signee Caleb Wilson, and Houston signee Chris Cenac each have pro teams excited as well. In all, this class is very heavy at the top with nice depth throughout.
Five players earn their fifth stars
As we have noted throughout our ranking process, we are slower to give out five-star rankings, oftentimes not reaching the goal of 14 until the final ranking. We aim for our process not to be volatile in taking stars away from players. In the previous ranking update, our tenth for the 2025 cycle (February 2025), On3 had only nine five-star players. For the final 2025 On3 150 update, all nine kept their five stars, while five more earned the rating distinction.
The highest-ranking new five-star is F Karim Lopez, who came in at No. 9 in Monday’s update. Lopez signed a deal prior to this season, for two years, with the NBL Next Stars program to play with the New Zealand Breakers. This season, the 6-foot-8, 18-year-old wing averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.
The four other newly rated five stars are Baylor signee Tounde Yessoufou, who moved from No. 19 to No. 11, UConn signee Braylon Mullins, who from No. 12 to No. 11. Houston signee Kingston Flemings and Louisville signee Mikel Brown each stayed put at Nos. 13 and 14.

Yessoufou is a 6-foot-5 wing from California who has an explosive at twitchy athletic disposition that finds a lot of production when paired with his non-stop hot motor. Mullins is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Indiana who might be the top movement shooter in the class. Flemings is a 6-foot-3 point guard from Texas who is a menace at the point of attack, heating up the ball and touching the paint. Brown is a crafty lead guard who is fearless with the ball and possesses deep shooting range.
Kingston Flemings remains No. 1 PG in the cycle
San Antonio (TX) Brennan High point guard Kingston Flemings remains the No. 1 ranked point guard for Monday’s 2025 On3 150 update. This is the fifth update that he has held on to the top spot at the position. His ability to control play at the point of attack has kept the 6-foot-3 Flemings with the status.
Listed at 6-foot-3, Flemings has long arms with a twitchy athletic disposition. You notice him on the defensive end from the opening tip. He turns his opponent in the open floor and keeps his matchup out of the paint in the half-court. Flemings also has natural instincts defending off-ball, in passing lanes and as a sneaky shot blocker. Offensively, Flemings lives in the paint, collapsing a defense and making reads in the teeth of the defense. The jump shot off the catch will need to continue gaining consistency, but he has a smooth pull-up and can finish above the rim in traffic.
Behind Flemings, there was a little movement. Louisville signee Mikel Brown earned his fifth star, coming in one spot behind Flemings at No. 14. Following Brown is Arkansas signee Darius Acuff at No. 21, Duke signee Cayden Boozer at No. 28, and Purdue signee Omer Mayer at No. 46.
Five players make their debut as four-stars in the final 2025 On3 150 update
Five players made their 2025 On3 150 debut in the final update for the cycle. The highest-ranked player making their debut was SF Dame Sarr, a 6-foot-7 wing who plays at FC Barcelona in Spain, at No. 17 overall. Sarr has a projectable frame, with loose athletic fluidity, great length, and a smooth shooting stroke from deep range. While he will need to continue adding strength to his base and developing off the bounce and movement, the clear traits he possesses translate very well as he transitions from level to level.
No. 17 SF Dame Sarr, FC Barcelona/ESP
No. 46 PG Omer Mayer, Maccabi Tel Aviv/ISR (Purdue)
No. 70 PF Hannes Steinbach, Wurzburg/GER (Washington)
No. 105 SF Preston Fowler, Brewster Academy/NH (James Madison)
No. 106 C Thomas Bassong, Long Island Lutheran/NY (Florida State)
Six other players entered the final ranking as three-star prospects in Monday’s class of 2025 update.
No. 120 SF Jackson Keith, Southern Durham/NC (Butler)
No. 130 F Aleks Alston, Kennwod Academy/IL
No. 133 SF Jasir Rencher, Archbishop Riordan/CA (Washington)
No. 137 PG Jaylen Lawal, iSChool/TX (Tulane)
No. 140 SG Achille Lonati, Olimpia MIlano/ITA (St. Bonnaventure)
No. 148 SG Bryce Jackson, Shadow Creek/TX (Houston)
Houston, Washington, and Notre Dame each have 4 players committed from the final 2025 On3 150 ranking update
Houston has four players signed in the updated 2025 On3 150 ranking. They also currently have the No. 1-ranked class in the 2025 On3 Team Recruiting Rankings. The Cougars have five-star PF Chris Cenac (No. 6), five-star PG Kingston Flemings (No. 13), four-star SG Isiah Harwell (No. 15), and three-star SG Bryce Jackson (No. 148) currently in their recruiting class.
Notre Dame also currently has four players committed who are listed among the final 2025 On3 150 update. The Fighting Irish are currently No. 13 in the 2025 On3 Team Recruiting Rankings. Their highest-ranked player for On3 is four-star SF Jalen Haralson (No. 31). In their four-man class, they also have commitments from four-star C Tommy Ahneman (No. 59), four-star PF Brady Koehler (No. 60), and four-star SF Ryder Frost (No. 81).
The third of the three schools with four players ranked among the final 2025 On3 150 update is Washington. McDonald’s All-American four-star PF Niko Bundalo (No. 37) is the highest-ranked player. The rest of the Huskies’ recruiting class is rounded out by four-star PG JJ Mandaquit (No. 49), four-star PF Hannes Steinbach (No. 70), and three-star SF Jasir Rencher (No. 133)
