Industry 5stars AFI 2026

Following the latest rankings releases from other recruiting services, the On3 Industry Ranking for the 2026 class has updated, as have the five-star recruits in it.

Recruiting for the junior class has thoroughly heated up with high school football on the horizon. There’s still plenty of time left until pen meets paper for the class, however. The On3 Industry Ranking currently features 10 five-stars — two of whom are committed.

The On3 Industry Ranking is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. It is also the industry’s most advanced, complete and unbiased measurement.

It weights the primary recruiting media services based on past performance data, and overall scouting and recruiting coverage investment. For football, the algorithm is weighted as follows: On3 (35%), 247Sports (35%), Rivals.com (20%) and ESPN (10%).

After the latest updates, those 10 prospects are listed below:

1. WR Chris Henry Jr. — Ohio State commit

School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
Scouting Summary: “Big receiver with a rare combination of size, athleticism and coordination as a young prospect. Measured in at over 6-foot-4.5 and around 185 pounds prior to his sophomore season. Tests as a strong athlete, posting an electronically-timed 4.65 second 40 yard dash at Under Armour’s Ohio Camp. Flashes outstanding functional movement skills at his size, with the ability to sink his hips and change direction with ease. Projects as a high level route runner as he continues to progress. Not overly long for his height, but flashes good ball skills and catch radius. Has strong pedigree as the son of the late NFL wide receiver Chris Henry. Projects as one of the top receivers early on in the 2026 cycle.”

2. OT Jackson Cantwell

School: Nixa (Mo.)
Scouting Summary: “Big-framed offensive tackle with eye-popping athleticism and functional strength as a high school underclassman. Measured at over 6-foot-7, 205 pounds prior to his sophomore season. Has solid length with 33.5-inch arms and big hands. Owns a phenomenal athletic profile as one of the top shot put throwers in the country for his age group. Posted a personal best throw of over 64 feet as a freshman. Also posted strong testing numbers in the college camp setting. Transfers those gifts over to the football field where he shows strong coordination and function strength. Moves well laterally and plays with a good anchor. Initially began his career as a tight end and has grown into an offensive tackle. Has deep athletic bloodlines with both parents being Olympic track and field athletes as throwers. Younger for the cycle with a May birthday.”

3. OT Immanuel Iheanacho

Michigan
EJ Holland/On3

School: Baltimore Georgetown Prep
Scouting Summary: “We came away from this initial ranking process feeling that Iheanacho had the best sophomore film among the top offensive tackles. Listed 6-foot-7, 320 pounds, Iheanacho blends excellent, ready-made size with advanced flexibility, power and functional movement skills. He plays with outstanding pad level, using his bend and understanding of leverage to get underneath the pads of defenders. Iheanacho fires off the ball and moves defenders at will once engaged. He’s a light footed mover, both as a run blocker and in pass protection, drawing on his basketball background. The movement skills look to be translatable as a pass protector, as he plays with balance and control. We also see Iheanacho flash his athleticism as a disruptive defensive lineman.”

4. DL Jahkeem Stewart

EJ Holland/On3

School: Reserve (La.) St. Augustine
Scouting Summary: “Physically-gifted defensive lineman with a high-end combination of twitch and technical ability at an early stage. Has a naturally big frame, measuring in at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds prior to his sophomore season. Has plus length for the position with arms that measure over 34 inches along with 10.75-inch hands. Put his name on the national radar with a number of impressive camp performances as a high school underclassman. Missed his freshman season due to a transfer. Has looked dominant in the camp setting. Flashes advanced technique despite his lack of varsity experience. Uses quick hands to easily disengage. Has a nasty straight arm that he uses to walk offensive linemen back to the quarterback. More of a straight line athlete who is at his best moving forward. Will need to improve his lateral agility as he has some stiffness when moving side to side. Will also need to transfer his skills on to Friday nights as he gets varsity experience.”

At 6-foot-3.5, 255 pounds, Brown has plus length, advanced movement skills and explosive pop in his hands. There are some eye-popping moments on his sophomore film, as Brown has the ability to detonate defenders on initial contact.”

School: Joppa (Md.) St. Frances Academy
Scouting Summary: “Elee showed the most twitch among the top pass rushers. twitchiest pass rusher. At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds with elite arm length, Elee flies off the ball and looks to be a big-time speed mismatch for opposing offensive tackles. He’s also a hellacious pursuit defender, running down plays from sideline to sideline. The Maryland standout tallied 13 sacks and 24 tackles for loss as a sophomore.”

7. EDGE Anthony Jones

School: Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal
Scouting Summary: “Originally ranked as a linebacker, Jones in as the No. 2 EDGE prospect in the initial 2026 On300. The Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s star was outstanding off the edge as a sophomore, racking up over 100 tackles and 10 sacks. Jones is a strong, athletic defender who shows the ability to run sideline to sideline and finish plays at a high rate. He also sports a very strong track profile, winning a state title in the shot put as a freshman.”

8. QB Jared Curtis — Georgia commit

School: Nashville Christian
Scouting Summary: “The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder was the On3 MVP at Under Armour’s Nasvhille camp after turning in a standout performance. Curtis has one of the strongest arms in the country with the ability to drive the ball with significant velocity to all levels. The ball jumps out of his hand. There’s no denying the Bulldog pledge is a top arm talent.”

9. TE Kendre Harrison

School: Reidsville (N.C.)
Scouting Summary: “Freakish two-sport athlete who is one of the most physically imposing prospects in the nation, regardless of class. A true ‘first off the bus’ type. Listed at 6-foot-7, 230 pounds. Plays both tight end and defensive end for his high school team. Moves like a much smaller player. Runs well and shows the ability to separate from linebackers. Has considerable mismatch ability as a pass catcher. Does not lumber unlike many players of his size. Also flashes intriguing upside as a pass rusher on defense. Doubles as a national basketball prospect with high major offers. Averaged over 21 points and 15 rebounds per game as a high school freshman on the hardwood. Has genuine positional ambiguity at this stage in his evaluation, but owns one of the higher physical upsides in the 2026 cycle early on.”

10. QB Faizon Brandon

Faizon Brandon

School: Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley
Scouting Summary: “Brandon, who stars for Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley, is a 6-foot-3.5, 190 pounder who accounted for over 3,500 yards and 45 touchdowns as a sophomore. He shows a live arm on film and in the camp setting and is one of the more gifted athletes among the top 2026 quarterbacks. Brandon is also younger for the class, turning 16 years-old in June.”
