Updated College Football Playoff National Championship odds released after Week 10
Week 10 of the college football season was as entertaining as it was unpredictable. The wild results called for Vegas Insider to majorly update their odds to win this year’s national championship.
The Georgia Bulldogs remain in the top spot after knocking off No. 3 Tennessee on Saturday. No. 2 Ohio State played in a tight game Saturday but the Buckeyes ultimately prevailed 21-7 over Northwestern.
No. 5 Clemson suffered its first loss of the season and in brutal fashion, falling 35-14 to Notre Dame. Meanwhile, No. 6 Alabama traveled to Baton Rouge and fell to No. 15 LSU in overtime, meaning that half of the top six AP-ranked teams entering Week 10 lost over the weekend.

The chaos was far from over beyond that point, though. Kansas State lost against Texas, Illinois fell to Michigan State, and Oklahoma State continued its freefall against Kansas.

While almost every other team’s odds improved to win the title, the Alabama Crimson Tide’s odds dropped from +330 to +4100. It’s hard to picture a scenario where Alabama makes the College Football Playoff with two losses and yet, they still have equal odds to the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs. TCU takes on Texas in Week 11 before bouts versus Baylor and Iowa State to finish the regular season.
After Week 10 action, the Georgia Bulldogs remain in control in the SEC East while Ohio State and Michigan’s Nov. 26 matchup looms large.
