Updated College Football Playoff National Championship odds released after Week 7
Week 7, along with being a wildly entertaining weekend of football, helped shape the race for the College Football Playoff. Tennessee beat Alabama, Michigan clobbered Penn State, TCU stayed undefeated to take the inside track for the Big 12 title and Utah sprung an upset on USC — all on Saturday.
The top four remain the same for the odds makers at Vegas Insider, though their specific odds have been altered after their performances this weekend — or an idle week, in the case of Ohio State.
Included below are all the 16 teams with title odds better than +30000 to win the national championship.

Breaking it down
Unsurprisingly, Ohio State holds steady atop the board to win the College Football Playoff for the odds makers at Vegas Insider. The Buckeyes saw their chances improve ever so slightly over the weekend, moving from +185 to +176. Georgia and Clemson also crept up, moving from +223 and +1180 to +192 and +1080, respectively.

Alabama saw its title odds take a hit with a 52-49 loss at Tennessee. The Tide saw odds fall from +230 to +420 following the loss.
Michigan saw its title odds cut by more than half, moving from +3900 to +1580. And the Volunteers rocketed up the odds, clocking in at sixth at +1720 to win the championship.
Not every unbeaten team is getting love, either. Some, like Clemson, UCLA and TCU, have clear paths to conference championships and decent odds. Others, like Ole Miss and Syracuse — who have yet to play Clemson and Alabama, respectively — are not getting the same consideration, despite their unblemished records.
And then there’s the constellation of teams with one loss (or more) looking to win out and hoping for chaos above them in the polls to sneak in to the College Football Playoff: USC, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Texas, Penn State and North Carolina.
