After a head-to-head collision in Tuscaloosa, Bryce Young and Matt Corral have swapped spots in the updated Heisman Odds. The Alabama Crimson Tide signal-caller retook the lead for the Heisman trophy after leading a 42-21 victory charge versus the Rebels in Week 5.

Young and Corral are favorites for the title by a lot, according to VegasInsider. Notably, last week’s third-place candidate for the Heisman, Georgia’s JT Daniels plummeted in the ranks after Week 5. Daniels didn’t play on Saturday, missing the game versus Arkansas due to a lat injury.

While Daniels slipped, Buckeye QB C.J. Stroud moved up considerably and is now trailing Young and Corral. Stroud is currently seventh in the country in passing yards per game at 323.3. He’s thrown 13 touchdowns and three interceptions through four games.

Young finished 20-of-26 for 241 passing yards and two touchdowns on Saturday. Corral went 21-of-29 with 213 passing yards and one passing score. On the season, Young has a 73% completion rating with 17 touchdowns and two interceptions. The Ole Miss QB has no interceptions, 10 passing touchdowns and a 69% completion percentage.

The Heisman odds are dominated by quarterbacks but two running backs are working their way into the mix. Texas running back Bijan Robinson is second in the nation in total rushing yards at 652 and he’s averaging 6.2 ypc with seven touchdowns in 2021.

Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson’s odds are tied with Robinson’s after Week 5. Robinson has a 140-yard advantage on the Buckeye freshman but Henderson has nearly half the carries and they each have seven TDs. Henderson is also averaging a whopping 9.44 yards per carry.

Pitt QB Kenny Pickett broke into the odds after Week 5. The Panthers starter has 1,731 passing yards so far and is second in passing touchdowns with 19. Pitt dominated Georgia Tech to the tune of 52-21 on Saturday.
