The Heisman Trophy has been hotly contested this season — no singular player separating from the pack. Through ten weeks of college football, the updated Heisman odds continue to reflect that sentiment.

While Alabama quarterback Bryce Young remains atop the odds for the 2021 Heisman Trophy, as he has almost all season, there is a new No. 2. Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III is now the athlete with the second-best odds to win the award for the best player in the country. Walker surpassed Ole Miss and Ohio State quarterbacks Matt Corral and C.J. Stroud after Week 10.

Check out who Vegas Insider is giving the best shot at taking the podium ahead of Week 11.

Heisman Favorites

Bryce Young, Alabama (+185)

Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State (+300)

Matt Corral, Ole Miss (+450)

C.J. Stroud, Ohio State (+450)

Caleb Williams, Oklahoma (+850)

The Odds Underdogs

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh (+2000)

Sam Hartman, Wake Forest (+2500)

TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State (+3500)

Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati (+4000)

Brian Robinson, Alabama (+6600)

Jordan Davis, Georgia (+8000)

Cade McNamara, Michigan (+10000)

Stetson Bennett, Georgia (+10000)

Kenneth Walker moved into the second spot for the Heisman even with the Spartans taking their first loss of the season to Purdue. In the 40-29 loss, Walker rushed for his sixth 100+ yard game of the season. He posted 136 yards on 22 carries (6.2 ypc) and one score. He did also fumble the ball once.

Bryce Young didn’t have his sharpest game versus LSU on the way to a 20-14 win. However, he still kept the interception column clean and added 302 more passing yards and two more scores to his resume.

Behind Young and Walker are Ole Miss QB Matt Corral and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. Corral had one of the best games of the season versus Liberty with 74.1% completions and a score but he didn’t do much in the run game. Stroud threw for 405 yards with two scores and two interceptions on Saturday versus Nebraska.

Georgia currently has two underdog candidates for the Heisman trophy, including quarterback Stetson Bennett. Bennett’s been overlooked as a candidate as he leads only the 58th most potent passing attack in the country. However, he had 255 yards and two scores on just 19 attempts (13 completions) on Saturday versus Missouri.
