Bowl season is winding down, but a handful of terrific matchups remain before the College Football Playoff semifinals finally kick off, and one of those contests is the ReliaQuest Bowl between Wisconsin and LSU.

The folks at DraftKings certainly don’t have a lot of faith in the Badgers going up against the nation’s highest-powered offense, which was led by Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels. They currently have the Tigers pegged as 10-point favorites down in Tampa. LSU is also the -375 money line favorite while Wisconsin is +295. The over/under is set at 56 total points. You can find more info on the game below.

Of course, the most important question to address when it comes to any bowl game this year: who is actually playing? Well, for LSU and Wisconsin, there’s one key offensive player for each club who will not be active in Raymond James Stadium.

For the Tigers, Daniels will not play and is sitting out to protect his very valuable NFL Draft status. On the other side, career 3,400-yard running back Braelon Allen will not finish out his third season as a Badger as he’ll forgo the bowl game also with his mind set on next spring’s draft.

After posting 1,200 yards in each of his first two seasons, Allen merely accumulated 984 this time around, though he did set career highs in the passing game, catching 28 passes for 132 yards.

Daniels, of course, put up massive numbers from Game 1 through Game 12, finishing with 3,800 passing yards, 1,134 rushing yards and 50 total touchdowns — 40 through the air and 10 with his legs.

The real key to the ReliaQuest Bowl might be on the opposite side of the ball from the Heisman Trophy winner, though. Wisconsin definitely lacks the explosiveness of LSU, even without Daniels, but they should be able to score on a Tiger team that only deals in shootouts. Without Daniels to set the pace, can the LSU defense make enough stops to keep the Tigers afloat with a backup?

That could be the deciding question.
