Updated schedule, bracket, TV heading into Day 4 of the 2023 Women's College World Series

It was a good day to be Oklahoma or Florida State at the Women’s College World Series on Saturday. The Sooners and Seminoles each won in the winners bracket and are one win away from the championship series.

And with wins on Saturday, the Sooners and Seminoles will get Sunday off. It’s something Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso explained as the Sooners went on their way to run-ruling Tennessee, 9-0, in five innings.

Oklahoma and it’s record-setting season might be the dominant story in Oklahoma City at the Women’s College World Series, but Florida State is looking like a team that could push the two-time defending champions. With a mix of pitching, defense and clutch offense, Florida State is 2-0 following a 3-1 win over Washington on Saturday. It wasn’t pretty, but it put the Seminoles in the drivers seat on their side of the bracket at the Women’s College World Series.

Vying to take on the Sooners and Seminoles will be the teams playing on Sunday. In the first game, it will be a Pac-12 showdown as Stanford and star pitcher NiJaree Canady take on the Huskies.

Stanford gave the Sooners everything they could handle in their opening game, but ultimately couldn’t match the pair of runs that Oklahoma pushed across. In any regard, the winner of Stanford-Washington will need to beat Oklahoma twice, whereas the Sooners just need one win to make the championship series. And Oklahoma only has one loss this season.

The second elimination game on Sunday at the Women’s College World Series will be an orange affair, with Tennessee and Oklahoma State playing to keep their seasons alive. The winner will get to try and beat the Seminoles twice to advance to the championship series starting on June 7.
