Updated schedule, bracket, TV heading into Day 2 of the 2023 NCAA Super Regionals
The NCAA Super Regionals got underway on Friday, with half the field beginning a three-game series that will determine who makes it to Omaha and the College World Series.
The day’s action presented a lot of quality contests, from a nervy 5-4 Duke win over Virginia in the afternoon to a walk-off Oregon win over Oral Roberts after coming back from down eight runs.
With four Super Regionals having one game down now, the possibility for elimination opens up on Saturday. Indiana State, Oral Roberts, South Carolina and Virginia will all be eliminated with a loss in Saturday’s contests.
Meanwhile, four teams are now just one game away from punching their ticket to Omaha: Duke, Florida, Oregon and TCU.
All that provides an excellent backdrop for some truly meaningful college baseball on Saturday. And because of the network scheduling, virtually all of it will be televised, barring any impacts from weather delays.
That did cause some games to shift networks on Friday evening, with the Florida-South Carolina game delayed by about an hour and a half due to lightning and inclement weather in the area.
Fingers crossed that Saturday will be a little smoother.
In any case, here’s the NCAA Super Regional schedule for Saturday, complete with network TV times.
