As the dust settles from Early National Signing Day, the SEC once again finds itself dominating the competition on the recruiting trail. Of the 16 teams in the conference, 14 boast a top-30 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

In order to create the most comprehensive and unbiased team recruiting ranking, the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings is solely based on the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings is the most advanced and accurate team ranking in the industry.

The SEC recruiting classes in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings can be found below.

1. Georgia — 94.513

3 five-stars | 19 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 28 total commits
Top Commit: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, No. 3 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Georgia remains atop the nation in the 2024 recruiting cycle despite losing Buford (Ga.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola to Nebraska on Monday. On Signing Day, the Bulldogs pulled off arguably the biggest flip of the cycle by pulling Raiola’s teammate, five-star safety KJ Bolden, away from Florida. Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Ellis Robinson IV and Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge Five-Star Plus+ linebacker Justin Williams lead the way as other five-stars in a stacked class.

2. Alabama — 93.657

3 five-stars | 16 four-star | 6 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, No. 5 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Alabama has worked its way back up to the top of the recruiting rankings once again. The Tide rank No. 2 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC behind a trio of five-star recruits: Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, Saraland (Ala.) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Ryan Williams and Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville five-star athlete Jaylen Mbakwe.

3. Texas — 92.596

3 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons, No. 11 in On3 Industry Ranking

Texas’ December has hardly been a quiet one. As the Longhorns prepare to play in the College Football Playoff, Steve Sarkisian and his staff have landed two of their top targets in the 2024 cycle. McKinney (Texas) four-star safety Xavier Filsaime ranks No. 33 overall and flipped from Florida to Texas on Monday, and on signing day, the ‘Horns flipped four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith away from Texas A&M.

4. Auburn — 92.125

2 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Five-Star Plus+ WR Cam Coleman, No. 4 in the On3 Industry Ranking

It has certainly been an exciting back half of a recruiting cycle for Hugh Freeze and his staff on the Plains. A trio of flips headline the class — Phenix City (Ala.) Central Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Cam Coleman was once committed to Texas A&M. Foley (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson was once committed to Iron Bowl rival Alabama. Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick was once pledged to Georgia.

The Tigers weren’t able to flip KJ Bolden, but did poach four-star defensive lineman Amaris Williams away from Florida.

5. Oklahoma — 91.864

1 five-star | 15 four-stars | 11 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman David Stone, No. 7 in On3 Industry Ranking

Tampa Catholic four-star interior offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis made the biggest splash of the month, adding his name to the Sooners’ list on December 15. It was Oklahoma’s first commit since former Michigan State commit, Centerville (Ohio) four-star safety Reggie Powers pledged to the Sooners in late October.

No signing day surprises were in store for the Sooners, though, which isn’t the worst news considering what happened to a few others.

6. LSU — 91.707

0 five-stars | 17 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 27 total commits
Top Commit: Jackson (La.) East Feliciana four-star tight end Trey’Dez Green, No. 35 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian Academy four-star defensive lineman Gabriel Reliford provided some positive momentum for LSU heading into National Signing Day when he committed to LSU on December 8. He joined an LSU class that consists of 17 blue-chip prospects, including five in the top 150.

Those five include Jackson (La.) Zachary four-star tight end Trey’Dez Green, Beaumont (Texas) United four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis, Denham Springs (La.) four-star safety Dashawn McBryde, Duncanville (Texas) four-star running back Caden Durham and Many (La.) four-star linebacker Tylen Singleton.

7. Texas A&M — 91.434

2 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 16 total commits
Top Commit: Timpson (Texas) five-star athlete Terry Bussey, No. 20 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Texas A&M has seen its fair share of decommitments after former head coach Jimbo Fisher, but the Aggies have held on to a top-15 class that includes two five-star prospects. Lafayette (La.) Acadiana five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley pledged to A&M in September but will take his recruitment into February. Timpson (Texas) five-star athlete Terry Bussey joined him in the Aggies’ class later that same month, but is also expected to take his recruitment beyond December.

Signing Day was fruitful for the Aggies though, as they landed Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star teammates Izaiah Williams and Solomon Williams.

1 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews, No. 22 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Nearly one-third of Tennessee’s 2024 class comes from the talent-packed state of Tennessee, including Chattanooga (Tenn.) Bradley Central four-star athlete Boo Carter. Carter was part of a busy June for Tennessee that also saw commitments from Aiken (S.C.) Strom Thurmond four-star four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley, Frisco (Texas) Reedy four-star interior offensive lineman Max Anderson and Atlanta Pace Academy four-star linebacker Jordan Burns.

Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews and Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills four-star EDGE Jordan Ross sit atop the Vols class that ranks top 15 in the nation.

9. Florida — 91.944

2 five-stars | 8 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 18 total commits
Top Commit: Willis (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ QB DJ Lagway, No. 10 in the On3 Industry Ranking

Florida was hit the hardest of any program on signing day, losing multiple commitments including Amaris and Izaiah Williams. However, the Gators were able to fend off multiple schools for Willis (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback DJ Lagway and Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray.

What was once an excellent class is now a bit of an also-ran in the SEC rankings.

10. Ole Miss — 90.239

0 five-stars | 8 four-stars | 13 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Lake Cormorant (Miss.) four-star EDGE Kamarion Franklin, No. 56 in On3 Industry Ranking

It has been a strong December for Lane Kiffin’s staff in Oxford — both in the transfer portal and on the recruiting trail. Aside from the Rebels’ significant work with transfers, they have pulled in three commitments down the stretch in Jackson (Miss.) Holmes C.C. wide receiver and No. 1 JUCO prospect Deion Smith, Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove three-star quarterback Anthony Maddox and Zachary (La.) three-star offensive tackle Kavion Broussard.

Lake Cormorant (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin headlines the class while Houston (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman William Echoles rounds out the top-150 recruits in this class.

Out of the Rebels’ 21 commits, 52% hail from the state of Mississippi.
