Updated Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State odds: Texas Bowl point spread
On Dec. 27, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State will face off in the TaxAct Texas Bowl. The Cowboys will look to secure their second 10-win season in the past four years. Meanwhile, Texas A&M will look to finish the season on a high note, establishing positive momentum for the Mike Elko Era.
The two programs have a storied history, with Texas A&M boasting an 18-10 all-time record over Oklahoma State. The teams last met in 2019 when the Aggies defeated the Cowboys 24-21. According to FanDuel, Oklahoma State is a 1.5-point favorite in the outing.
How to watch Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State
Time: 9 p.m. ET, Dec. 27
Channel: ESPN, FuboTV
Location: NRG Stadium — Houston, TX
Texas A&M has one goal in mind, but the rest of the program is scrambled. After the program parted ways with former head coach Jimbo Fisher, it brought in Duke head coach Mike Elko to take over. While Elko is already in College Station, he won’t lead the Aggies in the Texas Bowl.
Instead, interim head coach Elijah Robinson will lead the charge. However, Robinson has his own storyline happening behind the scenes. After the regular season ended, Robinson agreed to become Syracuse’s next defensive coordinator.
Coaches aren’t the only ones who are in an odd spot for the Aggies. Standouts such as quarterback Max Johnson, defensive end Fadil Diggs and defensive tackle Walter Nolen won’t participate after entering the transfer portal following the regular season’s conclusion.
Additionally, the team will be without standout wide receiver Ainias Smith, who suffered a broken finger that required surgery in the season finale against LSU. While A&M won’t be at full strength, Robinson is excited for his team.

“This is what bowl games are all about,” Robinson said. “Come here, have some fun, still get the work in and compete when it’s game day.”
The Cowboys look to take advantage of weakness
While the Aggies are sputtering, the Cowboys are riding high into the bowl game. As usual, Mike Gundy will head up the team’s effort. The Cowboys’ star running back, Ollie Gordon II, will be by his side.
Gordon flirted with the idea of entering the transfer portal after the regular season but ultimately announced he will return to Oklahoma State next year. Gordon led the nation with 1,614 yards rushing to become the first Oklahoma State player to win the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation’s top running back.
It won’t be easy sledding for Gordon on Wednesday. Texas A&M has the No. 17 rushing defense in the nation this season, only allowing 106.7 yards per game. Gundy certainly isn’t overlooking the Aggies.
“I know they have a lot of players that aren’t playing in this game, but some of the guys that were playing behind them are still good football players,” Gundy said. “[They’re] a very, very, very talented team, so we’ve worked some on Texas A&M, but more so on Oklahoma State.”
The Texas Bowl will kick off at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
