Following the recent release of the updated 2024 On300 Ranking, there was some movement across the board in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The seven highest-rated classes in the Big Ten Conference all find themselves within the top 25 of the national rankings.

In order to create the most comprehensive and unbiased team recruiting ranking, the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings is solely based on the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings is the most advanced and accurate team ranking in the industry.

The top 10 Big Ten teams in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings can be found below.

1. Ohio State — 93.684

5 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 5 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, No. 1 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Ohio State easily carries the most five-star pledges in the 2024 cycle with five — two more than Georgia. Jeremiah Smith, Chicago St. Ignatius defensive lineman Justin Scott, New Haven (Ind.) wide receiver Mylan Graham, Buford (Ga.) defensive lineman Eddrick Houston and Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes quarterback Air Noland have all achieved five-star status in the On3 Industry Ranking. No other Big Ten school currently holds a commitment from an On3 Industry five-star prospect. Ohio State’s class ranks No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in average rating per commit.

2. Penn State — 91.004

0 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 24 total commits
Top Commit: Belle Vernon (Pa.) four-star athlete Quinton Martin, No. 47 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Penn State currently sits second in the Big Ten and No. 12 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Quinton Martin leads the way for the Nittany Lions, followed by a pair of top-100 prospects in Westford (Mass.) Cheshire Academy four-star tight end Luke Reynolds and Brookline (Mass.) Dexter School four-star athlete Liam Andrews. Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy four-star Ethan Grunkemeyer is Penn State’s signal-caller of the class and a top-10 quarterback recruit in the 2024 On300. The Nittany Lions have not received a commitment since Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham pledged to Penn State on July 22.

3. Oregon — 90.992

0 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, No. 98 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Oregon managed to flip Dakoda Fields away from USC, where he joins an impressive secondary class with Forney (Texas) four-star safety Aaron Flowers and Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy four-star CB Ify Obidegwu. Yelm (Wa.) four-star linebacker Brayden Platt is the latest to pledge to Oregon, having committed at the start of September. The Ducks rank No. 13 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

4. Michigan — 90.868

0 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 11 three-stars | 25 total commits
Top Commit: Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller four-star running back Jordan Marshall, No. 60 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

It has not been a stellar month on the recruiting trail for Michigan. The Wolverines have not picked up a commitment in September, in fact losing a pair of four-star prospects in twins Jacob Smith and Jerod Smith — both of whom flipped to Kentucky. Jordan Marshall headlines the class along with top-100 recruits Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis and Rochester (Mich.) Adams four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn. The Wolverines rank No. 15 nationally and their latest commitment came from Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass three-star cornerback Jeremiah Lowe in mid-August.

0 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 5 three-stars | 15 total commits

With currently just 15 recruits pledged to the Trojans’ 2024 class, USC ranks No. 17 nationally and No. 5 in the new-and-improved Big Ten. Xavier Jordan headlines the class, followed up by three top-100 prospects in Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star receiver Ryan Pellum, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star corner Marcelles Williams and Atlanta Washington four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain. Despite ranking No. 17 overall, the Trojans have the No. 9 class in average rating per commit.

Nebraska just tacked on a commitment from Cypress (Texas) Second Baptist three-star athlete JD Crisp last week, bringing the class total to 25 commits. The addition of Ainsworth (Neb.) four-star tight end Carter Nelson was a major boost to the Huskers’ class back in June. Prior to Crisp, the most recent recruit to pledge to the Cornhuskers was Waipahu (Hawaii) four-star interior offensive lineman Preston Taumua in July.

7. Wisconsin — 88.540

0 five-stars | 5 four-stars | 16 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star running back Dilin Jones, No. 156 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Dilin Jones leads the way as the only top-200 recruit currently committed to Luke Fickell’s staff in year one at Wisconsin. He is joined by blue-chip prospects Royersford (Pa.) Pope John Paul II four-star offensive tackle Kevin Heywood, Saint Paul (Minn.) Irondale four-star interior offensive lineman Emerson Mandell, Algonquin (Ill.) Harry D. Jacobs four-star tight end Grant Stec and Chicago Mount Carmel four-star running back Darrion Dupree.

8. Purdue — 87.928

0 five-stars | 4 four-stars | 19 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Cincinnati La Salle four-star cornerback Koy Beasley, No. 113 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Koy Beasley ranks inside the top 150 in the On3 Industry Ranking, the only Purdue commit to do so. Three more blue-chip recruits are currently pledged to the Boilermakers in Lake Dallas (Texas) four-star receiver Keondre Henry, Midland (Texas) Lee four-star quarterback Marcos Davila and Naperville (Ill.) North four-star safety Luke Williams. Purdue ranks No. 29 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, with its latest commitment coming from Grand Rapids (Mich.) Forest Hills Central three-star safety Ty Hudkins on September 19.

9. Iowa — 87.423

0 five-stars | 3 four-stars | 17 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Williamsburg (Iowa) four-star linebacker Derek Weisskopf, No. 233 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The last couple of months have resulted in a bit of a dry spell on the recruiting trail for Iowa. The latest commit to add himself to the 20-man recruiting class was Plano (Texas) East three-star EDGE Chima Chineke in mid-July. The Hawkeyes rank No. 34 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

10. Minnesota — 87.147

0 five-stars | 2 four-star | 21 three-stars | 23 total commits

Lincoln four-star safety Koi Perich ranks No. 188 in the cycle and announced he was staying home with Minnesota in April. It has been a while since Minnesota picked up anyone on the recruiting trail, last receiving a commitment on July 2 from Olathe (Kan.) East three-star interior offensive lineman Brett Carroll.
