On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

The 2025 On300 has updated as top prospects around the nation are settling into their senior seasons of high school football.

This latest update has caused some movement in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The On3 Industry Ranking — the basis for the team recruiting rankings — is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Below are the top 25 classes in the 2025 cycle. We break down which programs have the top prospects in the country.

The latest intel on top prospects in the updated On300.

1. Ohio State — 93.932

4 five-stars | 17 four-stars | 5 three-stars | 26 total commits
Top Commit: Bellefontaine (Ohio) five-star QB Tavien St. Clair, No. 2 NATL. (No. 2 QB)

While Ohio State’s top commit is at quarterback, the Buckeyes coaching staff has gotten busy on the defensive side of the ball this cycle. Houston North Shore Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Devin Sanchez, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord, McKinney (Texas) five-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn and elite Olney (Md.) Good Counsel safety Faheem Delane each rank inside the top 50 nationally. Philadelphia-based edge rusher Zahir Mathis and South Florida linebacker Tarvos Alford are top-100 prospects.

But that collection of defensive talent of course has not prevented Ohio State from landing multiple commitments from top offensive players. Ohio native and Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Tavien St. Clair is one of the longest-committed players in this class. He’s joined in the top 100 on offense by Toledo Whitmer four-star offensive tackle Carter Lowe, Bergen Catholic (N.J.) wide receiver Quincy Porter and Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph running back Bo Jackson.

Ohio State’s most recent pledge comes from Mission Viejo (Calif.) four-star wide receiver Phillip Bell, who committed on Aug. 31.

2. Alabama — 93.743

4 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Denton (Texas) Ryan five-star OT Ty Haywood, No. 11 NATL. (No. 2 OT)

Alabama recruiting was expectedly quiet immediately following the hire of Kalen DeBoer last winter, but the Crimson Tide really picked up steam this summer — especially on offense. The Tide’s three highest-rated recruits all come on the offensive side of the ball: Denton (Texas) Ryan offensive tackle Ty Haywood, Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County wide receiver Caleb Cunningham and Duncanville (Texas) quarterback Keelon Russell. Russell flipped from SMU to Alabama in June.

Also ranking inside the top 100 are Mission Viejo (Calif.) five-star corner Dijon Lee, elite offensive lineman Michael Carroll, Mississippi-based running back Akylin Dear, Eastman (Ga.) Dodge County athlete Darrell Johnson, Cincinnati Winton Woods EDGE Justin Hill, Mater Dei corner Chuck McDonald and Carmel (Calif.) offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd.

Dear, a former Ole Miss commit, is the latest to join Alabama’s 2025 class.

3. LSU — 93.211

3 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 26 total commits
Top Commit: Belleville (Mich.) Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood, No. 1 NATL. (No. 1 QB)

LSU commit and Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood just broke the Michigan high school football record for career touchdown passes and is approaching the state record for total career touchdowns. He’s the top recruit in the 2025 class.

Underwood is joined in the five-star ranks by Zephyrhills (Fla.) Five-Star Plus+ corner DJ Pickett and Metairie (La.) St. Martin’s Episcopal running back Harlem Berry. Elite Bishop Gorman wide receiver Derek Meadows joined the class in late July, while Indianapolis-based edge rusher Damien Shanklin committed on July 5.

Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Baptist defensive lineman Walter Mathis Jr. committed to the Tigers on Sept. 6.

4. Georgia – 92.568

3 five-stars | 15 four-stars | 3 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Warner Robins (Ga.) five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson, No. 14 NATL. (No. 1 EDGE)

Warner Robins (Ga.) EDGE Isaiah Gibson Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County linebacker Zayden Walker and Geneva (Ill.) wide receiver Talyn Taylor are each top-100 prospects and each headlined a productive month of June on the recruiting trail for the Bulldogs.

Folkston (Ga.) tight end Elyiss Williams is the top tight end in the cycle and pledged to Georgia on April 8. Other top-100 commits for the ‘Dawgs include Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale cornerback Shamari Earls and Hillside (N.J.) EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon. Findlay (Ohio) quarterback Ryan Montgomery picked Georgia over South Carolina and Florida but went down with a season-ending injury earlier this season.

Atlanta Douglass four-star cornerback Jontae Gilbert committed on Aug. 10, the most recent commitment for the Bulldogs.

5. Auburn — 92.417

0 five-stars | 16 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 24 total commits
Top Commit: Hoover (Ala.) Thompson four-star EDGE Jared Smith, No. 40 NATL. (No. 4 EDGE)

Auburn has shot up the team recruiting rankings in July and August with commitments from several coveted recruits. In July, the Tigers landed Selma (Ala.) Southside athlete Derick Smith, Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson safety Anquon Fegans, Saraland (Ala.) defensive lineman Antonio Coleman and Baltimore St. Frances corner Blake Woodby, among others.

August saw the additions of Hoover (Ala.) Thompson edge rusher Jared Smith, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick defensive lineman Nate Marshall and Highland Home (Ala.) linebacker Jakaleb Faulk.

Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star linebacker Elijah Melendez is the latest to join the class, having committed to Auburn on Saturday.

6. Texas — 92.411

3 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 20 total commits
Top Commit: Galveston (Texas) Ball Five-Star Plus+ safety Jonah Williams, No. 10 NATL. (No. 1 S)

Texas has been hot on the field the last three weeks, and equally hot off the field the last three months. Each of the Longhorns’ top three prospects committed in the month of August: Galveston (Texas) Ball safety Jonah Williams, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench and Sachse (Texas) wide receiver Kaliq Lockett.

Texas added its quarterback — Saraland (Ala.) four-star K.J. Lacey — joined the class back in June. July saw the additions of Houston Alief Hastings EDGE Smith Orogbo and Spring (Texas) Dekaney tight end Nick Townsend.

Port Charlotte (Fla.) four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles committed to Texas just last week.

7. Tennessee — 92.011

1 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 9 three-stars | 24 total commits
Top Commit: Charlotte Providence Day Five-Star Plus+ OT David Sanders Jr., No. 4 NATL. (No. 1 OT)

Tennessee made one of the biggest splashes of the cycle when Charlotte Providence Day Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. chose the Volunteers over Ohio State, Georgia and Nebraska. Right behind him in the Vols’ class is Bishop Gorman interior offensive lineman Douglas Utu. They’ll both be protecting Nashville Brentwood quarterback George MacIntyre — a top-10 QB in this class.

Elkhart (Ind.) Central EDGE Mariyon Dye and Lyons (Ga.) Toombs safety Lagonza Hayward are significant additions on defense, while Derby (Kan.) tight end DaSaahn Brame and Atlanta Westlake wide receiver Travis Smith should be dynamic targets for MacIntyre’s passing game.

Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall cornerback Onis Konanbanny committed to Tennessee on Aug. 23 as its latest pledge.

8. Oregon — 91.830

3 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 1 three-stars | 15 total commits
Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ WR Dakorien Moore, No. 3 NATL. (No. 1 WR)

Oregon pulled off two major recruiting wins in July and August. First up was Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore — a former LSU commit — on the Fourth of July. On Aug. 3, the Ducks landed Shaker Heights (Ohio) five-star safety — and Ohio State legacy — Trey McNutt.

Tampa Bay Tech five-star receiver Dallas Wilson has been committed to Oregon since January 2023. Star defensive backs Dorian Brew and Brandon Finney added their names to the class this June.

However, Oregon has been quiet on the recruiting trail lately. The Ducks landed kicker Rocco Graziano on Aug. 16, the only commitment since the addition of McNutt.

9. Texas A&M — 91.347

1 five-stars | 14 four-stars | 6 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Corona (Calif.) Centennial five-star QB Husan Longstreet, No. 23 NATL. (No. 4 QB)

The centerpiece of Texas A&M’s recruiting class is at the quarterback position. Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Husan Longstreet shot up the rankings in the offseason with stellar performances on the camp circuit. He leads a group of stellar California Aggies that also includes Quartz Hill cornerback Adonyss Currie, Bonita linebacker Noah Mikhail and San Ramon Valley edge rusher Marco Jones.

But, that’s not to say the Aggies don’t have their fair share of Texas blue-chippers in the class. Bellville defensive lineman DJ Sanders, Jasper tight end Kiotti Armstrong, Shadow Creek cornerback Cobey Sellers and Hitchcock wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson stand out among a multitude of Lone Star State natives.

Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter safety Rashad Johnson committed to Texas A&M on Sept. 7.

10. Oklahoma — 90.982

1 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 23 total commits
Top Commit: Lewisville (Texas) five-star OT Michael Fasusi, No. 12 NATL. (No. 3 OT)

Oklahoma won a long, hard-fought recruiting battle last month when it landed Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi on Aug. 21. Fasusi joins a great offensive class for the Sooners, with the likes of Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland offensive tackle Ryan Fodje, Homestead (Fla.) wide receiver Cortez Mills, Checotah (Okla.) wideout Elijah Thomas and Denton (Texas) Guyer quarterback Kevin Sperry.

Fasusi was the only Sooners commitment in the month of August. Going backward from that announcement, the most recent pledge to OU was Elijah Thomas on July 27.

11. Notre Dame — 90.923

0 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 10 three-stars | 22 total commits
Top Commit: Lucedale (Miss.) George County four-star QB Deuce Knight, No. 36 NATL. (No. 7 QB)

Despite weeks of potential flip rumors, the crown jewel of Notre Dame’s class — Lucedale (Miss.) George County elite quarterback Deuce Knight — has remained committed to the Irish through mid-September. Knight would have one of the nation’s best offensive tackles protecting him in Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall’s Will Black.

The Irish also feature a talented defensive backs room with Tampa Berkeley Prep cornerback Dallas Golden, Indianapolis Ben Davis corner Mark Zackery, Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor safety JaDon Blair, Phoenix Brophy cornerback Cree Thomas, Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick safety Ethan Long and Fort Wayne (Ind.) Nelson Snider safety Brandon Logan.

Logan committed to Notre Dame on Aug. 10 — the lone Irish commitment since JaDon Blair on July 5.

12. Clemson — 90.817

0 five-stars | 10 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 14 total commits
Top Commit: Durham (N.C.) Southern four-star DL Isaiah Campbell, No. 43 NATL. (No. 4 DL)

Clemson accumulated most of its class quite early on in the cycle. Durham (N.C.) Southern defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, Norfolk (Va.) Maury EDGE Ari Watford and Buford (Ga.) Milton offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs each chose the Tigers back in January. Go back a month earlier, and you’ll find commitments from Lake City (S.C.) South Florence defensive lineman Amare Adams and Anderson (S.C.) Belton-Honea Path running back Marquise Henderson

Clemson’s most recent commitments come from Fyffe (Ala.) linebacker Logan Anderson (July 26), Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback Blake Hebert (June 16) and Liberty Christian running back Gideon Davidson (June 14).

13. Miami — 90.765

0 five-stars | 13 four-stars | 8 three-stars | 21 total commits
Top Commit: Jacksonville Mandarin four-star safety Hylton Stubbs, No. 53 NATL. (No. 4 S)

Much of the talk surrounding Miami this summer dealt with recruits wanting to see how the Hurricanes looked on the field this season. A blowout win over Florida to start the season before two out-of-conference wins has certainly been a good start.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin safety Hylton Stubbs, a former USC commit, pledged to Miami on the Fourth of July. A day later, the Canes added Bishop Gorman interior offensive lineman SJ Alofaituli.

In the defensive secondary, onetime LSU commit Jaboree Antoine chose Miami on July 20, while Miami Christopher Columbus safety Bryce Fitzgerald committed to the Hurricanes on Aug. 17 — the most recent to pick The U.

14. Michigan — 90.553

0 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 4 three-stars | 16 total commits
Top Commit: Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange four-star safety Ivan Taylor, No. 60 NATL. (No. 6 S)

Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange safety Ivan Taylor made huge waves in early July when he chose to flip from Notre Dame to rival Michigan. Taylor is part of an all-blue-chip defensive backfield alongside Montgomery Village (Md.) Gonzaga safety Kainoa Winston and Kilgore (Texas) cornerback Jayden Sanders.

Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot four-star quarterback Carter Smith is the signal-caller for the class — with targets like Fulshear (Texas) Katy Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh, Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh tight end Andrew Olesh and New Orleans Shaw wideout Jacob Washington.

Michigan’s three August commitments came from Marsh, Sanders and Howell (Mich.) defensive lineman Bobby Kanka.

15. USC — 90.390

1 five-stars | 11 four-stars | 7 three-stars | 19 total commits
Top Commit: Carrollton (Ga.) five-star QB Julian Lewis, No. 24 NATL. (No. 5 QB)

USC has taken some significant decommitment hits in this cycle, but nonetheless has amassed a top-15 class in the country. Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis has been a longtime member of this group since he committed last August — initially as a member of the class of 2026.

Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge four-star Ty Jackson and San Clemente (Calif.) four-star Matai Tagoa’i are an elite linebacker duo. They’re backed up in the secondary by Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central safety Kendarius Reddick and Upland (Calif.) cornerback Trestin Castro.

Ty Jackson just recently joined the Trojans class on Sept. 8.
