Joe Biden releases NCAA Tournament bracket
The Commander-in-Chief has spoken. President Joe Biden released his NCAA Tournament bracket for the NCAA Tournament in 2024.
When Biden was the Vice President under Barack Obama, Obama had the tradition of releasing his own NCAA Tournament bracket each season. That’s something that Biden is now keeping alive, making his own picks and looking forward to March Madness too.
This season, Joe Biden has the UConn Huskies repeating as national champions. He’s not alone in that thought process, either, as UConn is one of the heavy favorites to make a deep run into March.
There is a good amount of chalk in the president’s NCAA Tournament bracket. He has three one-seeds making it to the Final Four, with only Purdue not making it that far. In fact, Biden has the Boilermakers getting knocked out by Kansas in the Sweet Sixteen.
The biggest Cinderella in the NCAA Tournament for Biden is NC State. The Wolfpack made the Big Dance after a surprising run to win the ACC Tournament. Now, the president has NC State going all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. They’re the only double-digit seed he picked to get that far and to do so, they’ll have to run through Texas Tech and Kentucky.

Everyone loves to pick a 12-seed to beat a five-seed and Joe Biden is no different. He has McNeese State beating Gonzaga in the first round. However, it’s going to be a short run for the Cowboys, as he then expects them to fall to Kansas.
In his eventual National Championship Game, Biden picked UConn to play Houston. There, he expects the Huskies to win back-to-back championships. If they do so, they’ll be the first team to win the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons since Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators did it back in 2006 and 2007.
Of course, the eventual champions will have their day at the White House to celebrate the accomplishment. There, players and coaches will meet the president. However, it will probably be at least a little bit awkward if the champion ends up being a team he expected to lose.
The NCAA Tournament Round of 64 starts on March 21st. From there, the madness begins and everyone, including President Biden, will likely see their brackets busted in some way by some improbable upsets.
