USA Basketball: Final U16 USA roster announced
After a week of training camp in Colorado Springs, the roster for the USA Men’s U16 National Team has been announced. Of the 18 finalists who were competing for the spots, 12 were selected for the team.
The roster includes seven players from the 2025 class and five from the 2026 class.
The 2025 recruits include Five-Star Plus+ power forward Cameron Boozer, Five-Star Plus+ shooting guard Isiah Harwell, Five-Star Plus+ small forward Koa Peat, five-star shooting guard Darryn Peterson, four-star point guard Cayden Boozer,, four-star center Jayden Quaintance and On3 four-star point guard JJ Mandaquit.
Players from the 2026 class who were selected include small forward AJ Dybantsa, small forward Tyran Stokes, shooting guard Brandon McCoy, small forward Caleb Holt and small forward Jalen Montonati.
Of the seven 2025 recruits selected, four are ranked as top-10 prospects for the class. Cameron Boozer is ranked as the No. 1 player in the country, Peat is No. 3, Harwell is No. 6 and Peterson is No. 8.

Prior to the cut to 18 and then 12, 39 players born after January 1, 2007 gathered at the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center for the USA Men’s Basketball Junior National Team U16 Training Camp.
The group of 12 will compete at the 2023 FIBA Men’s U16 Americas Championship in Merida, Mexico from June 5-11 playing for head coach Sharman White of Pace Academy (GA).
