USC topped UCLA in the last meeting between the two teams

On February 12, USC hosted UCLA in the first matchup between the two Pac-12 foes of the season. The Trojans escaped with a narrow 67-64 victory. USC lost its last game, falling by 20 against Arizona, who has clinched the regular season Pac-12 title. The Trojans, though, have won six out of seven and eight out of their last ten. USC currently sits at 25-5 overall and 14-5 in the Pac-12.

UCLA responded to the loss to USC with three straight wins, but then lost again in late February to Oregon. The Bruins have since responded with two straight victories, giving them five wins in their last six outings. UCLA is currently 22-6 overall and 14-5 in the Pac-12.

Both teams are locked into the NCAA Tournament field, so at this point, Saturday’s game is all for seeding in the upcoming conference and NCAA tournaments. In ESPN’s latest Bracketology, USC is a seven seed and UCLA is a four seed. In On3’s latest projected field, UCLA is also a four seed but USC is up to a six seed.
