2026 IOL John Fifita commits to USC Trojans

Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis interior offensive lineman John Fifita has committed to USC, he announced on Monday.
He chose the Trojans while also holding offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado State and UNLV.
He is the No. 908 overall prospect and No. 79 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 90 player in California.
The 6-foot-6, 350-pounder joins a 2026 class in Los Angeles that ranks No. 1 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
“First I want to Thank God for the many blessings he’s provided and thank my Parents, Family, and Coaches for all the support and time they invested in me. With that being said I am 100% Committed,” Fifita wrote announcing his decision on X.

Fifita announced an offer from USC less than 24 hours ago and is immediately in the boat for head coach Lincoln Riley and Co. He becomes commitment No. 12 and the first offensive lineman to pledge to the West Coast Big Ten program.

The Trojans continue to battle with Oregon for the No. 1 class in the nation heading into the heart of spring. Thanks to seven pledges from top-200 recruits, it’s USC that currently claims the top spot to date.
Gainesville (Ga.) four-star linebacker Xavier Griffin continues to headline as the No. 23 prospect, No. 2 LB and No. 2 player in the Peach State. The elite in-state cornerback duo of Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) four-star CB RJ Sermons and Los Angeles Loyola four-star CB Brandon Lockhart join Griffin at the top of the class. Sermons is the N0. 26 recruit nationally, while Lockhart checks in at No. 52.
Frankfort Heights (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East four-star quarterback Jonas Williams flipped from Oregon to USC on Feb. 21 and is currently the No. 8 QB in the cycle. Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Catholic four-star EDGE Simote Katoanga pledged two days later and is also a top-100 recruit.
Painesville (Ohio) Harvey four-star Shahn Alston and Chicago Mount Carmel four-star EDGE Braeden Jones are the No. 12 and No. 18 players at their respective positions. Other commits in the class include: Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star athlete Joshua Holland, Los Alamitos (Calif.) Sierra Canyon three-star wide receiver Ja’Myron Baker, Pasadena (Calif.) Sierra Canyon three-star athlete Madden Riordan and Los Angeles John C. Fremont Senior three-star EDGE Andrew Williams.
