There is a ton of hype surrounding the talented quarterback, who excelled at the college level and will now look to do the same in the NFL.

“Caleb, congratulations bud. Getting your jersey retired as USC’s eighth Heisman trophy winner, which is the most in college football history,” USC head coach Lincoln Riley said during the video.

The video also included messages from former teammates, Snoop Dogg and others.

Caleb Williams started his college career at Oklahoma, before transferring to USC following the 2021 season when Lincoln Riley left for USC.

He had an incredible 2022 season that included winning the Heisman trophy, as well as the Maxwell Award and AP College Football Player of the Year award.

Williams was solid in 2023, although USC had some struggles around him as the Trojans finished 8-5.

It was a big day for Caleb Williams in more ways than one as his jersey banner now hangs alongside the program’s other Heisman winners and new addition Reggie Bush

Williams became USC’s single-season record holder for passing yards, touchdowns, and total offense in his first season with the Trojans back in 2022. He transferred in from Oklahoma alongside head coach Lincoln Riley and established himself as the best quarterback in college football with 4,537 passing yards, 42 passing touchdowns, 382 rushing yards, and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

As for Bush, he was forced to voluntarily forfeit his Heisman Trophy following an NCAA investigation in 2010 that revealed he received illegal payments. But on April 25, his Heisman Trophy was reinstated because of “enormous changes in the college football landscape” with college athletes now allowed to be paid using their name, image, and likeness.
