UT-Martin running back Jordan Castleberry enters NCAA transfer portal
UT-Martin running back Jordan Castleberry has entered the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Castleberry previously spent time at both Maryland and Michigan.
Castleberry first committed to Michigan in the 2019 recruiting class, coming from St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. Castleberry spent that 2019 season with the Wolverines but he did not record any field time, thus leading to him departing and going to Maryland.
“I’ve always been interested, considering it’s my dream school,” Castleberry said of Michigan during his high school recruitment, according to USA Today. “I have some decisions to make, but coach (Jay) Harbaugh and (Ben) McDaniels informed me that I have a spot on the team. Michigan is Michigan. It’s a great opportunity. I have a lot to think about.”
Castleberry then spent the 2020 season at Maryland, but of course, that season was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Castleberry played in all five games for the Terrapins during that shortened season, mainly on special teams. Castleberry had one tackle that season, coming against Rutgers.
