Utah QB Brandon Rose plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Utah quarterback Brandon Rose will enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on his Twitter account on Championship Saturday.
Rose played sparingly for the Utes this season in relief, before he suffered a season-ending injury with a few weeks left to go during the season.
“I will be entering my name in the portal with 2 years of eligibility left,” Rose wrote. “Utes Nation, I love you.”
Brandon Rose finished the season — his sophomore campaign — going 19-of-36 passing for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions. Brandon Rose also added 11 carries for 66 yards, showing some running ability.
Rose was injured in a game against BYU, a game in which he was making his first career start. The injury occurred in the final moments of the game, a competitive contest against the Cougars.

“My time at the University of Utah has truly been a blessing to say the least. I’ve been so thankful to be a part of this amazing program. I will forever be grateful for the lifelong relationships built here and for the entire Utah family!”
