Utah State transfer, former Oklahoma DB DJ Graham commits to Kansas
Kansas has picked up a commitment from Utah State transfer defensive back DJ Graham out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Graham is a former Oklahoma transfer who instantly made a name for himself at Utah State in 2024. He recorded 42 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and two pass breakups this season.
Before he transferred to Utah State, DJ Graham spent four seasons at Oklahoma in the Big 12. Now he is heading back to the Big 12 to play for the Kansas Jayhawks.
The talented defensive back appeared in 28 career games with the Sooners, making 12 starts. He logged 72 tackles, a tackle for a loss, five pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
DJ Graham will look to help a Kansas defense that had an up-and-down year in 2024. The Jayhawks played well on that side of the ball for the most part during a three-game winning streak late in the year. However, they ended the season by allowing 45 points in a loss to Baylor.
Kansas finished the year with a 5-7 record.

Alabama transfer DB Jahlil Hurley commits to Kansas Jayhawks
In addition to DJ Graham, Kansas also recently added a commitment from former Alabama DB Jahlil Hurley.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining. Hurley was ranked as a Top 50 recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to On3.
Hurley didn’t see any game action in 2023, but garnered plenty of hype on the recruiting trail. A product of Florence (Ala.), he was the No. 50 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
During the 2024 season, Hurley saw the field in nine games as a depth defensive back and on special teams. He finished the season with one tackle.
