UVA linebacker D'Sean Perry among three victims in Sunday night shooting at University of Virginia
An unthinkable tragedy struck the University of Virginia late on Sunday night, as multiple individuals were killed and more were wounded in a shooting on the UVA campus. Former Virginia football player and current UVA student Chris Jones is believed to be the culprit of the shooting.
On Monday morning, it was reported by the Richmond Times-Dispatch that current Virginia linebacker D’Sean Perry was one of the three victims killed in the tragic act.
Perry came to Virginia as part of the 2019 recruiting class. During the first years of his career, Perry didn’t play a ton but still made an impact. He had an 84-yard interception return touchdown in 2020. Through seven games this season, Perry had totaled seven tackles and one tackle for loss.
Virginia wide receivers Devin Chandler and Lavel Davis are the other known victims at this time of the tragic events from Sunday night.
