Vanderbilt vs. Missouri: Wednesday injury report revealed
The stage is set for an SEC clash between Vanderbilt and Missouri this weekend. We’ve got an early picture of who might be available—or not–for the game on Saturday.
Both the Commodores and the Tigers released their initial availability reports on Wednesday, with a number of players for both teams listed. And now, the goal is to get some of those players ready to roll for Saturday.

Last season, the two former SEC East foes met in Nashville which saw the Tigers down the Commodores 38-21 after a 21-point second half kept Vanderbilt at bay. Missouri leads the all-time series 11-4-1, including winning seven of the last eight matchups in the series dating back to 2016.
Vanderbilt currently sits at 2-1 overall, winning their first two games, but dropping their last one against Georgia State. The Commodores got over 290 all-purpose yards and three total touchdowns from quarterback Diego Pavia in their season-opening win against VT.

In their loss against Georgia State, the Panthers connected on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Christian Veilleux to Ted Hurst. The game-winning score came with just 15 seconds left on the clock, lifting GSU to a 32-26 win. In the loss, Vanderbilt still got over 110 receiving yards and a touchdown from tight end Eli Stowers. Stowers was noted on Bruce Feldman’s list of “Freaks” in college football for the 2024-2025 season.

Missouri rolls into the matchup with a 3-0 overall record. They soundly defeated Murray State and Buffalo in their first two games, but squeaked by Boston College 27-21 last Saturday. Luther Burden III was the man that everybody has expected him to be, hauling in six catches for 117 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Burden is currently second on their team in receiving yards, with Theo Wease, Jr. leading the way with 232 yards. So far, Tigers quarterback Brady Cook has 720 passing yards and six total touchdowns, including four on the ground.
Missouri and Vanderbilt are set to take on each other on Saturday, September 21st. Kick time is set for 4:15 PM EST. The game will be nationally televised on SEC Network.
