The FBI doesn’t believe the driver who killed ten and injured more than 30 in a terroist attack on New Year’s Day in New Orleans acted alone, according to the Associated Press. As a result of the devastating incident, Wednesday’s scheduled Allstate Sugar Bowl at the Caesars Superdome was postponed.

“The FBI is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism and said it does not believe the driver acted alone. An Islamic State group flag was found on the vehicle’s trailer hitch, the FBI said,” the Associated Press reported. “Guns and pipe bombs were also found in the vehicle, according to a Louisiana State Police intelligence bulletin obtained by The Associated Press. The devices, which were concealed within coolers, were wired for remote detonation, the bulletin said, and a corresponding remote control was discovered inside the vehicle.

“The FBI said other potential explosive devices were also located in the French Quarter. According to the intelligence bulletin, surveillance footage captured three men and a woman placing one of multiple improvised explosive devices.”

When considering all of the factors, it’s easy to see why the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal Game between Georgia and Notre Dame at the Sugar Bowl was moved. At the moment, it’s only been postponed “24 hours” and will kick off at 8:45 pm ET Thursday, per Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley, but the situation is fluid.

While the FBI identified the driver as Shamsud-Din Jabbar — who the Associated Press noted was 42-years-old and a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas, they’re working to determine Jabbar’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations, and believe there are other suspects who assisted.

“We do not believe that Jabbar was solely responsible,” Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s New Orleans field office, said at a news conference, via the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, the Sugar Bowl was set to be played on New Year’s Day, before the attack shook New Orleans and the rest of the United States. To qualify for the game, Georgia defeated the Texas Longhorns to capture the SEC title, which led to them receiving a bye during the First Round of the CFP.

As for the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame welcomed Indiana to South Bend, where they took care of business to advance to the Sugar Bowl, setting up a massive showdown between two of college football’s biggest brands.

The Caesars Superdome should be rocking, whenever the game is played, as Georgia and Notre Dame fans certainly made the trip to New Orleans for the showdown. Whichever team gets the victory will have a date with the Penn State Nittany Lions next on the docket, as they defeated the Boise State Broncos on New Year’s Eve to clinch their spot in the Semifinals already.
