Former Villanova power forward Josiah Moseley has committed to Texas Tech out of the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. He originally entered the transfer portal on April 9.

During his lone season with Villanova, Moseley played in 30 games. He averaged just 10.2 minutes per contest, so there’s a lot of development needed as he continues to soak up more time going forward. Still, Josiah Moseley showed some flashes of what he’s capable of. Overall, he averaged 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, while blocking the occasional shot or recording an assist or a steal.

Before enrolling at Villanova, Josiah Moseley was a highly coveted recruit. He was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 73 overall player in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He also checked in as the No. 9 power forward in his class. Finally, he was ranked the No. 3 overall player in the state of Texas, hailing from Round Rock (TX) Stony Point.

As of Wednesday, March 26, over 1,250 Men’s College Basketball players had entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. That number is expected to grow now that the 2024-25 college basketball season has reached its conclusion.

The transfer portal wire provides a real-time feed of player activity, including basic player profile information, transfer portal ranking and original On3 Industry recruiting ranking, as well as NIL valuation (name, image and likeness).

Former UNC Greensboro SG Donovan Atwell commits to Red Raiders

Former UNC Greensboro shooting guard Donovan Atwell committed to Texas Tech out of the transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent the last three years with the team before transferring.

In 32 games last season, Atwell set career highs for UNC Greensboro. He put up 13.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, 0.8 assists per game and shot 40.2% from the floor and 39.8% from three-point range.

As a member of the Class of 2022, Atwell was a three-star recruit out of Huntersville (N.C.) Providence Day School, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 13 overall prospect in the state, the No. 47 shooting guard in the class and the No. 299 overall prospect in the class.
