4-star Vyctorius Miller breaks down recruitment; looks to set visits with Gonzaga, Kansas, USC, LSU
Vyctorius Miller is the No. 44 player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard and son of platinum selling recording artist Silkk The Shocker averaged 17.3 points this summer for the West Coast Elite program on the Under Armour Next Circuit.
“I’ve always been a point guard at heart, and I think I’ve shown that this summer,” Miller told On3. “I like passing, I like getting buckets, and I like playing defense; I like showing I can do it all.”
Miller, who started for nationally-ranked Chandler (AZ) Arizona Compass last season, was selected to participate in the UAA Elite 24 this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. While the actual game was rained out, the practices and scrimmages were lined with NBA scouts as well as some select media members
“I think I’ve shown here that I can compete with the best of them,” Miller said. “Earlier this week, I got my teammates involved, fed my bigs, and did a lot of facilitating and making sure my teammates were happy. Today, I showed I could score at all three levels.”
On3 caught up with four-star Vyctorius Miller at the UAA Elite 24 to talk about his recruitment.
Miller dives into Oregon
I’ve taken an official visit to Oregon so far,” Miller said.
“None of the players were there because they were back home. But I really liked the coaching staff. I called Mookie (Cook), and we talked about it. He loves it up there, so I’m looking forward to going back. The facilities were crazy up there. I mean, they’re all Nike; all that was crazy.
“Going back up there, I want to see how all the players interact. I want to see how the coaches coach and interact with all the players. I’d like to see how they work out and all that. They talk with my dad like every day and check in with the family. We’ve really grown our relationship since the visit, for sure.”
Miller in the process of setting future officials
“Because the season is going to start soon, I’m trying to line up these visits back-to-back,” Miller said. “I’ll go see Kansas, LSU, Gonzaga, and USC. I don’t have the exact dates set yet, but they should be finalized soon.”
Kansas: “I took an unofficial visit there last year and had a good time. But I got to get the real experience. I know a few of the players there. Getting back there would let me get a better feel for the team and how they all are around each other.”

Gonzaga: “They get up and down. The guards that have had there and that play similarly to me. They put guys in the league and have won a lot. They like my versatility as a big guard. I can play on the ball, the two, the three; I can guard all the perimeter positions and make decisions with the ball.”
USC: “They’re at home for me. I’ve been up there multiple times; my uncle (Romeo Miller) went there. I just like the school. I went to some of their practices last year, and I’m up there working out sometimes too.”
LSU: “My family is all from there, and they just want me to stay home. The NIL there would be crazy because all my people are from there. I like it; I like what they’re saying; I like their colors, all the tigers, and what all they stand for. Coach (Matt) McMahon believes in his players. If he rocks with you, he gives them freedom and will stay with you through thick and thin.”
At the end of the day…
“I don’t have a commitment date yet, but I would like to sign during the early period,” Vyctorius Miller said.
“I want to play for a coach that I know will stick with me through thick and thin. I’ll be a freshman coming in, so I want to play for someone that will let me learn through my mistakes. I don’t want to play for someone that I have to keep looking over my shoulder.
“I’ll want to play with the ball in my hands and for a coach that will let me be me. I think I’m at my best on the ball, making plays for my team.”
