Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star interior offensive lineman Esun Tafa has committed to Washington, he announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder chose the Huskies over Oregon and Utah.

Tafa is the No. 189 overall prospect and No. 15 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 junior in Utah.

Now a back-to-back state champion at Corner Canyon, Tafa becomes commitment No. 5 for Jedd Fisch and UW in the 2026 cycle. He now headlines the class and is one of two blue-chippers in the mix thus far alongside Portland Lakeridge four-star running back Ansu Sanoe.

Huskies building strong base to 2026 class

Washington has now landed three junior commitments this month. On Nov. 10, Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic three-star linebacker Wassie Lugulobi joined the class. Six days later, Seattle Evergreen three-star wide receiver Terrance Saryon announced he was staying home.

“Every time I visited the Washington campus it always felt like home,” Lugolobi told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “My relationship with the coaching staff especially Coach (Robert) Bala and the opportunity to play with my former teammates in front of my family made the decision easy.  Being able to represent and play for the hometown Dawgs is an amazing opportunity that I’ll take great pride in.”
