Washington linebacker Jordan Whitney has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned.

Whitney spent just one year with the Huskies, making very little impact. He did not see any game action in 2023, redshirting in the process.

So he’ll have plenty of remaining eligibility wherever he ends up. And someone will assuredly take a chance on the former three-star prospect.

Prior to enrolling at Washington and later entering the NCAA transfer portal, Jordan Whitney was ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 1,123 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 107 linebacker in his class and the No. 100 overall player in the state of California, hailing from Oxnard (CA) Pacifica.

Washington has seen heavy attrition this offseason following the departure of coach Kalen DeBoer for the Alabama job.

According to the On3 transfer tracker, 31 players have now entered the NCAA transfer portal for the Huskies since the season ended, including Jordan Whitney. Meanwhile, the Huskies have added 19 players to the ranks via the portal.

Washington lands offensive lineman from portal

The Washington Huskies football program just acquired another big body out of the NCAA transfer portal. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Old Dominion offensive lineman transfer Christopher Adams has committed to playing for Washington and head coach Jedd Fisch in 2024.

Adams, a sophomore, has a frame built to dominate in the trenches and possibly develop into an ideal offensive tackle. Standing at six feet six inches and weighing 286 lbs, the former Monarchs offensive lineman from Hagerstown, MD, could easily be a top-end lineman with the proper guidance and direction.

Look for Fisch and Washington offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Brennan Carroll to develop Adams to the fullest extent in 2024.
