Washington RHP Reilly McAdams enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

Washington right-handed pitcher Reilly McAdams has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. McAdams spent four seasons with the Huskies.

This past season, McAdams made 15 appearances and two starts. He tallied 26.2 innings pitched and held opposing hitters to a .291 batting average. Further, he notched 17 strikeouts compared to 11 walks. He finished the 2024 campaign with a 6.75 ERA.

While McAdams was at Washington for four years, he only played three seasons. After not seeing any action during his true freshman season with the Huskies, he opted to use his redshirt.

In his three seasons on the mound, McAdams amassed 41 appearances and five starts for 78.1 total innings pitched. McAdams posted a combined 5.74 ERA and 47 strikeouts while holding foes to a .282 batting average.

Reilly McAdams played high school baseball at Ingraham High School (WA), where he was the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 5 right-handed pitcher from Washington in the 2020 recruiting cycle, according to Perfect Game.

McAdams did not play his senior high school season in 2020 due to COVID-19 cancelations. However, he led the Seattle Metro League with a 0.81 ERA in 2019 and was First Team All-Seattle Metro. Additionally, McAdams was named to the PBR Baseball Washington Dream Team.

McAdams isn’t the only Husky who has hit the transfer portal this offseason. On Friday, Washington right-handed pitcher Grant Cunningham entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per D1Baseball’s Shotgun Spratling. He spent two seasons with the Huskies.

This past season, Cunningham made 20 appearances, amassing 50.1 total innings pitched. He held opponents to a .222 batting average, recorded 56 strikeouts and only allowed four home runs. He finished the season with a 2.86 ERA.

During his debut campaign in 2023, Grant Cunningham made 21 appearances, primarily in relief. He collected 53.1 innings pitched and 39 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to a .278 batting average. He notched a 4.56 ERA.

Cunningham played high school baseball at Seattle Preparatory School (WA), where he was the No. 500 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to Perfect Game. He was also the No. 16 right-handed pitched in the class.

Washington finished the season with a 19-31-1 overall record and a 10-20 mark in conference play. The Huskies’ postseason hopes concluded in a 6-5 loss to Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament.
