Washington vs. Washington State odds: Early point spread released for Huskies, Cougars in Apple Cup
The 2023 Apple Cup between Washington and Washington State might have been the last one for the foreseeable future, but both programs agreed to a five-year non-conference series Sunday. Nevertheless, Saturday is the last Apple Cup as Pac-12 members and will certainly be an incredibly emotional game with more than a little bit on the line. The Huskies are looking to finish their unbeaten regular season, while the Cougars want to spoil that and get bowl-eligible in the process.
The Huskies are hosting this game in Seattle and enter the game as a 14.5-point favorite, per FanDuel. The over/under for the game is currently set at 65.5 points.
How to watch Washington vs. Washington State in The Apple Cup
Date/time: November 25th, 4:00 P.M. EST
Channel: FOX, FuboTV
Location: Husky Stadium. Seattle, WA
Washington enters the Apple Cup as a heavy favorite to win and finish the regular season 12-0. It would be the Huskies’ first unbeaten regular season since 1991. That Huskies team was led by Don James and would win the national championship. It would also set Washington up for a vital Pac-12 Championship Game, most likely against the Oregon Ducks.
After this season, Washington is moving to the Big Ten. Washington State, however, will be one of two programs remaining in the Pac-12, now sometimes being called the Pac-2. With that, the Apple Cup won’t be played for at least the next few seasons before the series may be revived in the future. It’s a rivalry that was first played in 1900, a meeting that ended in a 5-5 tie. Since then, the Huskies have compiled a 75–33–6 record all-time against the Cougars.

It’s safe to say that Washington State is going to be more than motivated for this game. The Cougars always want to beat the Huskies, but beating them this season given the context surrounding the game would be even better. On top of that, after getting a win over Colorado, a win over Washington would make the Cougars bowl-eligible at 6-6 on the season.
At quarterback for the Huskies is Michael Penix. An experienced lefty, there is a good chance that he’s going to be invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony at the end of the season. He also has a very real shot at being an early NFL Draft pick. However, the Cougars like their quarterback too, Cameron Ward, who has been phenomenal both on the ground and through the air.
