Chattanooga (Tenn.) Chattanooga Christian School four-star safety Boo Carter has proved he can make stops at defensive back. But on Thursday night against Chattanooga (Tenn.) Boyd-Buchnanan, the 6-foot-0, 180 pound prospect showcased his ability to play offense.

Late in the fourth quarter, Carter received a handoff and raced down the middle of the field. He proceeded to sprint untouched into the end zone for a long touchdown that clinched a win for Chattanooga Christian School.

Carter is the No. 245 overall prospect and No. 20 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Tennessee.

The Volunteer State native has received 25 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment. Tennessee leads for Carter’s commitment at 25.8%, while Michigan is not far behind at 22.6%. Michigan State has the third-best odds for his pledge at 19.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Carter took an unofficial visit to the Volunteers last weekend. He also went on multiple unofficial visits in the spring and summer, including one to the Wolverines on July 30 and one to the Spartans on May 14.

Carter has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
