WATCH: Bronny James shines in McDonald's All-American dunk contest
Bronny James stole the show during the McDonald’s All-American dunk contest with three impressive jams.
He started out with a two-handed, sideways windmill to start the dunk contest before going on to do a more traditional one-handed windmill. He finished it up with a jam over his little brother, Bryce, to round out his dunk contest.
James isn’t the first member of his family to put on an incredible highlight performance in the McDonald’s All-American dunk contest. His father, LeBron James wowed fans at the event back in 2003 before being drafted No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers a few months later.
Even though Bronny’s performance is what people will be talking about, Duke commit Sean Stewart came away as the contest’s winner.
Check out all of the dunks below:
Bronny James remains the only 2023 McDonald’s All-American that has yet to commit to a team. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives Ohio State a 95.5 percent chance to land the Sierra Canyon star. USC and Memphis have also offered the King’s son.
James is a four-star recruit, per the 2023 On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He ranks No. 27 overall and is the consensus No. 5 combo guard in the class. On3, however, rates Bronny as a top-10, five-star recruit coming out of Los Angeles. He’s the No. 9 player overall and No. 2 combo guard.
