WATCH: 5-star EDGE Damon Wilson forces fumble

Venice (Fla.) five-star EDGE Damon Wilson is one of the top pass rushers in the 2023 cycle. He showcased why on Friday night against Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz.

Wilson moved past an offensive lineman and blitzed the opposing quarterback. The signal-caller, while trying to evade Wilson, fumbled the ball.

Wilson is the No. 30 overall prospect and No. 4 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Florida. 

On3 rates Wilson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 4 overall prospect, No. 2 EDGE and No. 2 player in Florida.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State is leading for his commitment at 62.5%. On3’s Chad Simmons recently reported that Wilson is nearing a decision soon.

The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
