WATCH: 5-star Harold Perkins stiff arms defender on way to 51-yard TD
Harold Perkins is the No. 1 linebacker recruit in the country for his elite ability on the defensive side of the ball.
But Perkins, who is a two-way star for Cypress (Texas) Cy Park, is a really good running back as well.
The five-star has been making highlights on the offensive side of the ball all season, and had another one Thursday against Cypress (Texas) Cy Lakes.
Taking a pitch on his team’s own side of the field, Perkins immediately encounters a defender looking to make a TFL. But Perkins sticks out his left arm and stiff arms the defender out of the way.
Harold Perkins then plants his foot and shifts momentum to the other direction. He then sprints past a group of defenders, hops over a diving defensive back and is off to the races.
Cypress (Texas) Cy Park won the game 56-0. The team is 5-0 on the season.
In those five games, Harold Perkins has only 28 carries. However, he has run for 627 yards for an astronomical average of 22.4 yards per carry. He also has 11 touchdowns, including a 98-yard touchdown earlier in the season.
Including his two receiving touchdowns, Perkins has scored a touchdown on 13 of his 31 offensive touches.

Harold Perkins is down to seven schools
Harold Perkins announced a top-seven list on Sept 10 of Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and USC. But he told On3’s Chad Simmons last month that he is only going to a school in the SEC.
“That is where the dogs are at,” Perkins said. “That is where the best play. I am a dog and that is where dogs go.”
He was in Baton Rouge, La, this Saturday to watch the Tigers take on Auburn. Perkins was previously in The Swamp for an official visit with Florida when the Gators played Alabama on Sept. 19.
Harold Perkins has not decided on a commitment date, and is considering waiting until the All-American Game on Jan. 2, 2022.
