Alabama junior wide receiver Jameson Williams was one of the most highly coveted prospects in the transfer portal in the 2021 off-season. Today he showed why against Miami. In the third quarter, he put his world class speed on fine display against the Hurricanes’ secondary.

Check out the video below.

94 yards to the house. World-class speed.

The touchdown pass was the fourth touchdown of the game by Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. The fourth touchdown pass also surpassed Mac Jones and Joe Namath for the most touchdown passes in a Crimson Tide debut.

Former Ohio State Buckeye

Jameson Williams spent the first two seasons of his college career at Ohio State. As a freshman, he hauled in six catches for 112 yards and a touchdown for the Buckeyes. As a sophomore, he hauled in nine catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns for Ohio State.

He caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Justin Fields in the College Football Playoff against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl.

Jameson Williams high school bio

Williams attended Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis, Missouri. He was rated as a four-star prospect coming out of high school. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound wide receiver helped lead Cardinal Ritter College Prep to the Class 3A state championship game as a senior. He was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game.

Williams was a former track standout in the state of Missouri as well, as he owns the state record in the 300-meter hurdles. Out of high school, Williams chose the Buckeyes over offers from UCLA, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, and many others. He had 46 offers total from schools across the country as a high school prospect.

The future is bright at the wide receiver position in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Last night Tide Class of 2022 commitment Kobe Prentice sliced and diced his way through the opposing defense and made them look like they were on ice skates.

Bryce Young

Young was a former five-star prospect coming out of high school and suited up for Mater Dei (Pasadena, California). Mater Dei has a very storied history at the quarterback position with quarterbacks such as Matt Barkley, Matt Leinart, and Colt Brennan playing for the high school. Still, Young established himself as one of the best ever to suit up for Mater Dei, and as one of the best overall prospects in America in the 2020 recruiting class.
