It can be tough for defense to stand out during an all-star game, but Clemson signee Jeadyn Lukus made the play of the day so far in the Under Armour All-American Game.
Facing a 3rd-and-14 team in its own territory, Team Legends ran a pass play and looked to get the ball down the field. But Lukus read the ball and leaped up for a remarkable interception.
“I know how I can jump and I saw the trajectory of the ball,” Lukus told ESPN after the pick. “I just stopped running and went up and got it.”

Team Icons would kick a field goal a few plays later to take a 17-0 lead in the second quarter.
Lukus is the No. 38 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He has had a very impressive week in Orlando in preparing for the Under Armour All-American Game.
“The future Clemson Tiger is always ready for the next rep,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton said. “He jumps to the front of the line, and shows a real hunger to improve. The Team Icons defensive back coaches have mentioned his effort on more than one occasion. Lukus hasn’t quit on plays when initially beaten this week. He’s continued to battle through the whistle.”
