While Alabama and Florida battle for SEC supremacy tonight, Laura Rutledge will be looking for bragging rights inside her household.

To illustrate, ESPN anchor Laura Rutledge graduated from the University of Florida. However, her husband Josh Rutledge played shortstop for the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team.

To break the tie, the Rutledge family decided to let their daughter Reese pick the game.

Despite her adorable laugh, Gators fans won’t be happy with her prediction. While Reese may have a preference for her father’s alma mater, she offered an apology to her mother for picking against hers.

It’s possible Reese picked Alabama due to seeing their success through her own eyes. Even though she’s about to turn 2, the toddler has already seen a Crimson Tide national championship — defeating the Gators on their way.

Evidently, she needs to see the Gators get some big wins before she picks them to beat Alabama. If Florida can pull it off, Laura Rutledge will have bragging rights over both her daughter and husband.

Florida vs Alabama: Tim Tebow’s Pick

While Rutledge may be outnumbered at home, she found support for her Gators from her colleague. On the SEC Network pregame show, she watched as Tim Tebow made his selection for today’s showdown.

Of course, the Florida legend is rolling with the Gators.

“When you look at this, from top to bottom — Alabama, they’re really good. Number one team in the country? Yeah, probably,” said Tebow. “If they played ten times, would Alabama win nine? Probably, yes. Have they been recruiting better? Yes.

“But there is one big problem. One flaw with your thinking. It’s because this game isn’t in Atlanta, it’s not in Tuscaloosa — this game is in Gainesville! This is a different level! When people show up here, they don’t leave the same!

“Alabama is coming to get a whoopin’! Gator Nation! Let’s get this thing done!”

Nobody gets Gators fans pumped up like Tebow, and he put on a masterclass. If Florida can upset Alabama, it’ll be a memorable day for Rutledge, Tebow and Gators fans everywhere.
