WATCH: Lee Corso fires up the ESPN College GameDay crowd ahead of Alabama vs. Tennessee
Lee Corso is back! The senior member of the ESPN College GameDay crew returned to the set this weekend after missing the last two weeks. And he’s already getting the crowd in Knoxville fired up.
In a video posted by the College GameDay twitter account, Corso lifts both the Alabama and Tennessee helmets up in the air — receiving boos for ‘Bama and cheers for the Vols. He then tossed the Crimson Tide helmet to the side and proceeded to kiss the Tennessee one.
That’s the Lee Corso we all know and love.
Corso returns to ESPN College GameDay after missing two weeks with health issues
It’s a gigantic day for College GameDay on ESPN, as they’re in Knoxville for an undefeated SEC showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers.
Of course, Lee Corso simply couldn’t miss a game of this magnitude, as the beloved analyst is returning to the desk after two weeks on the sidelines. Corso was dealing with a health problem, but it’ll warm the hearts of college football fans everywhere to see him back where he belongs.
Check out this video shared by Kirk Herbstreit, who couldn’t be more exuberant to have his longtime partner back next to him.

“The GOAT is BACK!! (goat emoji),” tweeted Herbstreit, accompanying his usual video of Corso before the beginning of College GameDay.
Last weekend, Herbstreit touched on how weird it could be for fans of the show to tune in and not see Corso, but revealed his colleague’s health has improved and he shouldn’t be going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
“I think it’s very strange for everybody watching, those us on the set, of course, not to having Lee here, but [Rece Davis] spoke with him, I had a chance to, and [Desmond Howard] as I’m sure you have as well,” Herbstreit said during last weekend’s College GameDay. “He does sound better, but I think by doctor’s orders wasn’t expected to be able to travel this week. But news is good with the test that he’s been receiving.
“Next week he’ll be with us wherever College GameDay is, LC will be back right here where he belongs.”
