WATCH: Odell Beckham Jr explains his preference, ideal timetable for return to field
Odell Beckham Jr hasn’t played in a football game since he tore his ACL in last season’s Super Bowl. That hasn’t been for a lack of rumors, though. Plenty of teams, most notably the Dallas Cowboys, have courted him publicly and privately.
While speaking on NFL on Prime Video, Odell Beckham Jr explained his preference and ideal timetable for a return to the field.
You can watch the video, here:
“I would like to be in a stable environment, get up at 6 am, leave at 6 pm for 4 weeks, and then let’s talk about it. … I’m not saying I couldn’t step in and play regular season, but I don’t see the point,” Odell Beckham Jr said.
OBJ emphasized that he hasn’t made a decision yet. He just wants a stable environment. It’s interesting, however, that not playing in the regular season lines up with his reported recovery timeline.
Micah Parsons revealed OBJ’s timeline
Micah Parsons, the star edge rusher for the Dallas Cowboys, revealed the injury timeline for Odell Beckham Jr. This is interesting, given the reported concerns that Dallas has with OBJ’s health coming off an ACL injury.

For his part, Parsons says that Odell Beckham Jr could miss five more weeks, potentially costing him the start of the NFL playoffs.
Mike McCarthy on Odell Beckham Jr’s vibe
Despite issues with his health, the Cowboys still like Odell Beckham Jr. In particular, head coach Mike McCarthy was very happy with the vibe that he gave off during a visit with the team.
“I thought the visit went very well,” McCarthy said, via Jon Machota. “I liked his vibe, I enjoyed everything about our talk.”
For now, it remains to be seen if the Cowboys overcome their concerns about his injury and sign OBJ in a push to make a deep playoff run.
