Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star EDGE Jonathan Echols is normally known for getting after the quarterback and making big plays on the football field.

It’s why he’s ranked as a four-star player by On3 and already has scholarship offers from top teams like Georgia, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, Ole Miss, Arkansas and others.

But the 6-foot-6, 220-pound Echols can also put it down on the basketball court.

Jonathan Echols shared a video Thursday night of him dunking over some of his new IMG Academy teammates. The tweet was immediately greeted with high praise from fans from some of his top teams.

“Make you autograph that for him,” one fan replied.

What’s even more impressive is that it appears that Jonathan Echols is wearing crocs when he posterized the defender.

Jonathan Echols member of 2024 watch list

Jonathan Echols is a member of On3’s class of 2024 watchlist. Echols currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6,000. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time. Echols ranks No. 1,502 in the High School Football NIL Rankings. But that could climb after a viral video like this.

In a recent interview with On3’s Jeremy Johnson, Jonathan Echols talked about his visit to Georgia for a game this season. It was his first time in Athens. But he said it was an impressive experience.

“I knew it was a great school with great facilities and I had been looking forward to it,” Echols said. “I really like the coaches and the coaching staff. They came up and spoke to me and my family and got to know me better. I really liked the chance to get to know the coaches better.”

Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee immediately stood out to the 6-foot-6, 225-pound edge. McGee is a Columbus native. Echols’ hometown of Franklin, Ga., sits about an hour north of McGee’s hometown.

“He’s a great coach and a great man,” Echols said. “He got to know me and my family. That’s a pretty big deal to me. I enjoyed seeing his personality and seeing what kind of man he is. He knows where you’re coming from. You can ask him what he would do in a certain situation.”

Jonathan Echols was also on an unofficial visit to Florida on Jan. 29.
