With trade deadline rumors swirling, Trey Mancini hit one of the craziest inside-the-park home runs ever for the Baltimore Orioles. The wild part is that this could very well be his last at-bat as an Oriole in Camden Yards.

Fan favorite Trey Mancini could be out the door

Trey Mancini played his college baseball at Notre Dame, before playing amateur baseball in the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted by the Orioles in 2013 and has played his entire career with Baltimore to this point.

A great player on the field, Trey Mancini’s story became more complicated in 2020 when he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. He fought through and beat cancer, though, returning to the field in 2021. He came back as one of the most emotional stories of the year in all of sports. After having a great season in 2021, he was awarded the AL Comeback Player of the Year Award.

Rumors are swirling that the Baltimore Orioles may be looking to move the 30-year-old Trey Mancini. The AL East is practically unwinnable with the talented teams in it and prospects could be more valuable in the long term.

On his career, Trey Mancini has hit for a .270 batting average, 116 home runs, 347 RBIs, and he has a .797 ops. He will offer a contending team veteran leadership and consistent offensive production from a right-handed bat at first base.
