WeAreSC On3 6/14/22: Tobias Raymond Commits, Trey Wilson's Top Eight, and Tackett Curtis's Successful Visit
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at the Trojans picking up a commitment from class of 2023 offensive lineman Tobias Raymond three-star defensive lineman Trey Wilson’s top eight schools, and linebacker Tackett Curtis’s visit to USC this past weekend.
Tobias Raymond Commits
USC picked up a commitment on Monday evening from class of 2023 offensive lineman Tobias Raymond.
A native of Ventura, California, Raymond is not currently ranked in the On3 Consensus recruiting rankings. He is USC’s eighth commit in the 2023 class, and the first offensive lineman. Of those eight commits, six are on the offensive side of the ball.
Trey Wilson’s Top Eight
Three-star defensive lineman Trey Wilson put out his top eight schools yesterday, and USC made the cut.
Hailing from Garland, Texas, Wilson is the number 404 player and the number 49 defensive lineman in the class of 2023. In addition to the Trojans, several other Pac 12 schools made Wilson’s list, including Utah, Washington, and Stanford. As of now, however, Nebraska appears to be at the front of the tightly-contested race to land the talented defensive lineman.

Tackett Curtis’s USC Visit
Perhaps the biggest visitor that USC hosted on campus this past weekend was four-star linebacker Tackett Curtis.
A Many, Louisiana product, Curtis is the number 98 overall player in the class of 2023. In addition, he is the number six linebacker in his class, and the number seven player in the state of Louisiana.
By all accounts, Curtis’s visit seems to have been a success. While Ohio State is clearly still the team to beat at this point, the Trojans definitely gained some ground in the race for Curtis leading up to his likely commitment announcement at some point this summer.
