WeAreSC On3 6/24/22: Mobley Brothers Reunite, Braylan Shelby's Top Ten, and Bulletin Board Material
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at the Mobley brothers reuniting in Cleveland, USC making the top ten for four-star edge rusher Braylan Shelby, and a notable On3 employee providing the Trojans with some bulletin board material.
Mobley Brothers Reunite
Two years ago, the Mobley brothers Evan and Isaiah led USC Basketball to its first Elite Eight in two decades. Last night, the Mobleys were officially reunited as members of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers selected Isaiah Mobley with the 49th pick of the 2022 NBA Draft. This came less than a year after they took Evan third overall in 2021.
Isaiah Mobley leaves USC as one of the winningest players in program history. He will hope to replicate the professional success of his brother, who was arguably the NBA’s top rookie this past season.
Braylan Shelby’s Top Ten
Four-star edge rusher Braylan Shelby released his top ten schools yesterday, and USC made the cut.

A product of Friendswood, Texas, Shelby is the number 186 overall player in the class of 2023, according to On3 Consensus. In addition, he ranks as the number 28 edge rusher in his class, and the number 33 player in the state of Texas.
USC is the only school located west of Texas to make Shelby’s top ten. Despite this, the Trojans are a heavy favorite to land the talented edge rusher. USC currently holds a sizable lead over local schools Texas and Texas A&M.
Bulletin Board Material
Following the commitment of five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss to Ohio State earlier this week, a notable On3 employee sent out a tweet that certainly gave the Trojans some bulletin board material.
Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyler Vaughns, Michael Pittman Jr., Deontay Burnett, Juju Smith-Schuster, Nelson Agholor, Marquise Lee, Robert Woods, Damian Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, Steve Smith, Mike Williams, Keary Colbert, and Kareem Kelly could not be reached for comment on their acting careers at this time.
