West Virginia hosting top targets for spring game
West Virginia has five commits at this point in the 2025 recruiting cycle and head coach Neal Brown and his staff will welcome a couple of those guys back for the spring game on Saturday in Mentor (Ohio) High quarterback pledge Scotty Fox and Olney (Md.) Good Counsel offensive lineman Eidan Buchanan.
The Mountaineers will be aiming to ultimately add several more visitors to the fold down the road.
Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic On300 running back DeAndre Desinor is a prospect West Virginia has been pushing extremely hard for since offering in May of last year and he is expected back in Morgantown. The Mountaineers are near the top of his list. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Desinor has averaged over 10 yards per carry in each of the last two seasons and has racked up 32 touchdowns in that span. He is also a dangerous return man.
Tight ends coach Blaine Stewart offered a scholarship to DeForest (Wis.) Area High tight end Jackson Accuardi back in November and West Virginia is a program trending as the spring comes to an end.
Brown and his staff are working to add another offensive lineman from Good Counsel in Gavin Crawford who is slated to make his second visit of the spring to Morgantown. Crawford and Buchanan have talked about playing together on the next level. UCLA is also coming on strong for Crawford who is high on the likes of Duke, Florida, Maryland and Syracuse as well. West Virginia was his second offer back in January of last year and first major program to believe in Crawford. He has been to the campus many times since.
West Virginia offered linebacker target Cameron White out of Tampa (Fla.) Sumner back in February of 2022. They were one of the first to get into that recruitment.
