West Virginia star receiver Hudson Clement has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Clement is in the portal after spending three seasons with the Mountaineers.

Clement led West Virginia in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns in 2024, finishing with 51 catches for 741 yards and five scores. Clement was not ranked coming out of high school but has proven to be one of the top receivers in the Big 12.

The West Virginia native redshirted in 2022, before putting together a breakout season in 2023. Clement appeared in 11 games and made eight starts. He caught 22 passes for 480 yards and four touchdowns that season, finishing second on the team in receiving yards and tying for the team lead in touchdowns. Now, Clement is heading to the transfer portal after putting together an even better year in 2024. He helped the Mountaineers to a 6-7 record this season.

Clement had a huge game for West Virginia in the Frisco Bowl earlier this week. The redshirt sophomore caught 11 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns, but the Mountaineers came up just short, falling 42-37 to Memphis. Clement also topped the 100-yard mark against Kansas earlier this season, catching seven passes for 150 yards in a 32-28 win over the Jayhawks.

West Virginia RB CJ Donaldson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

In addition to Hudson Clement entering the transfer portal, West Virginia learned Thursday that running back CJ Donaldson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Donaldson had spent the past three seasons with the Mountaineers. While in Morgantown, Donaldson appeared in 31 games with double-digit starts at running back.

In those collegiate appearances, Donaldson has had 399 rushes for 1,975 yards and 28 touchdowns. That had him being second amongst their backs in each of the last three seasons for West Virginia behind Tony Mathis Jr. in 2022 and then Jaheim White in 2023 and 2024. However, Donaldson was more productive than both at times as he had almost as much yardage and more scores in less carries than Mathis while White only had him in yardage the past two seasons as he had more carries and rushing scores than him.

Donalson has also caught 30 passes for 179 yards and an additional score.
