Where the top 2024 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking are committed
Landing a top quarterback in each cycle is a priority for every major college football program as they look to achieve their dream of winning a national title. That remains to be the case for the 2024 cycle as 19 of the nation’s top-20 signal-callers have already made their college decisions.
That number includes each of the top-10 quarterbacks for the cycle who all made their decisions before June started. Here’s a look at each of those ten and where they’re headed.
Five-Star Plus+ QB Dylan Raiola
School: Buford (Ga.)
Status: Committed to Georgia
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 2
On3 NIL Valuation: $893K
Expert’s Take: “Dylan Raiola is an advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school signal-caller. Was identified as a top arm talent and quarterback in the 2024 cycle early on in his high school career. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 230 pounds. Has continued to add mass later on in his high school career. Owns a natural, loose throwing motion with arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Showed a deep catalog of throws as a sophomore. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a junior. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a junior, not running for many yards and finishing with -82 yards rushing – an anomaly for a top quarterback prospect. Will need to show more mobility and playmaking ability. Transferred to his fourth high school prior to his senior season. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Five-Star Plus+ QB Julian Sayin
School: Carlsbad (Calif.)
Status: Committed to Alabama
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 4
On3 NIL Valuation: $783K
Expert’s Take: “Julian Sayin is potentially the most complete passer of the 2024 recruiting cycle. Checks nearly every box when it comes to positional traits as a quarterback. Throws with a tight, compact release. Beautiful deep ball thrower who consistently hits his receivers in stride. Very comfortable passer on the run, loses little to no velocity when throwing off-platform. Navigates the pocket with ease and with intention. Can drive the ball into tighter windows downfield but can also layer the ball into open space. Threw for over 2,700 yards and 27 touchdowns on 66-percent completions with only four interceptions during the 2022 season. Also ran for 154 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on the ground. Decisive passer who reads the field quickly and efficiently. Measures in at just over 6-foot-1, nearly 185 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand. Leaner athletic frame with decent growth potential. Lacks elite arm strength at this point but could develop as he grows into his frame and gets stronger. Arguably the safest quarterback prospect in the country and has every chance to become the first quarterback taken when he declares for the NFL draft.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Five-Star QB QB DJ Lagway
School: Willis (Texas)
Status: Committed to Florida
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 30
On3 NIL Valuation: $597K
Expert’s Take: “DJ Lagway is a strong-armed quarterback prospect who possesses a thicker build with solid measurables for the position. Checked in at 6-foot-2.3 and 225 pounds during the camp circuit prior to his junior season. Has the arm strength to make throws at every level of the field, including ones from the far hash. Efficient with his movements in the pocket and comfortable working outside the pocket. Arm talent shines when forced to throw from multiple arm slots or off-platform. Will need to continue progressing with his accuracy as a passer – completed 55 percent of his passes as a sophomore at under 7 yards per attempt. A touted two-sport athlete who has also received multiple Power Five offers as a baseball player.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Air Noland
School: Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes
Status: Committed to Ohio State
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 40
On3 NIL Valuation: $535K
Expert’s Take: “Air Noland is an instinctual, accurate southpaw passer who shredded opposing defenses through the air as a junior. Was most productive passer among top 2024 quarterbacks. Measured in at around 6-foot-2, 185 pounds with a 9-inch hand in the spring prior to his senior season. Has a streamlined frame with thinner shoulders. Had a monster junior season, completing 73.1% of his passes for 4,095 yards (12.7 yards per attempt) for 55 touchdowns against four interceptions. Led Langston Hughes to a state title in a high classification and helmed an offense that set the state record for most points scored. Shows high end field vision with the ability to go through his reads and find open receivers. At his best as a reliable distributor to talented skill players. Throws with timing and touch. Accurate to all levels and shows the ability to layer the football and locate throws into small windows. Arm strength is above average but not his most noteworthy trait. Plays with an advanced feel and shows a nice internal clock against the pass rush. A pass-first quarterback but has some creativity and mobility when needed. One of the safest bets among quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle given his on-field success and production relative to his peers..” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB CJ Carr
School: Saline (Mich.)
Status: Committed to Notre Dame
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 49
On3 NIL Valuation: $466K
Expert’s Take: “CJ Carr is a polished quarterback with a technically developed skill set. Measured at around 6-foot-2.5, 195 pounds prior to his senior season. Hand size has measured between 9.25 and 9.5 inches. Registers as average athlete with good quickness, running a 4.94 second 40-yard dash, 4.26 second shuttle and jumping 26.7 inches in the vertical at the Elite 11 regional. Has a quick, easy release that is easily replicated. Consistently spins the ball well, throwing a tight spiral. Shows the ability to layer the ball and throw with touch. Flashes functional movement skills and reactive quickness in the pocket. Capable of making off-script plays at times. Looks most comfortable in neutral, on-air settings at this stage. Completed 68.1% of his passes for 2,685 yards and 26 touchdowns against 5 interceptions. Plays in a high school offense that features a high percentage of short, quick passes. Can increase decisiveness as a player on Friday nights as his arm strength tends to show up more in neutral settings. Showed some signs of improvement late in his junior season but can improve his efficiency as a passer with his 8.2 yards per attempt being on the low end among 2024 blue-chip quarterbacks..” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Luke Kromenhoek
School: Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School
Status: Committed to Florida State

Expert’s Take: “Luke Kromenhoek is a toolsy, strong-armed passer with some of the best physical attributes among quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle. One of the taller quarterbacks in the group with a prototypical build at 6-foot-3.5, 190 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand. Shows a very live arm on Friday nights and in the camp setting. Flashes a quick, natural release, generating considerable velocity with ease. Rips throws down the middle of the field on a line. Had several passes travel over 50 yards in the air as a junior. Can stretch secondaries with his arm strength. Delivers some nice passes on the on rollouts to his right and left. A good athlete at the position. Ran a 4.73 second 40-yard dash at the Elite 11 regional prior to his senior year. Shows very encouraging reactive quickness and burst as a mover in evading the pass rush. Has upside as a runner with his quickness and speed and can pick up chunks of yards once at the second level. Unlike most other top 2024 quarterbacks, was a first-year starter as a junior, leading his team to a state title. Completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,576 yards and 24 touchdowns against 3 interceptions, while rushing for 453 yards and 7 scores. Played wide receiver and safety while backing up Auburn signee Holden Geriner as a sophomore. Can stand to improve his overall consistency and will likely see the game continue to slow down for him with more in-game reps. Older for the class, turning 19 years-old in January of his senior year. Has one of the higher upsides in the murky 2024 quarterback class..” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Jadyn Davis
School: Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School
Status: Committed to Michigan
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 65
On3 NIL Valuation: $399K
Expert’s Take: “Jadyn Davis is a developed, polished passer who is most comfortable as an in-structure distributor. Measured at around 6-foot-0.5, 195 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his senior season. Is relatively filled out with a developed lower body. Was touted as a top quarterback prospect very early in the recruiting process, earning offers in middle school. Turned in a strong junior season, leading a high-powered Providence Day offense to a state title in North Carolina’s private school league. Completed 72.5% of his passes for 3,425 yards (11.2 yards per attempt) and 43 touchdowns against six interceptions. Effectively distributed the ball to a group of skill players that included several Power 5 prospects. Makes good decisions and looks to have a good grip of the offense. Has solid arm strength when delivering from within the pocket. Polished and refined as a ball handler and when working off of play action. Much more of an in-structure quarterback. Moves well within the pocket but does not make too many plays with his legs. Has a naturally longer release which limits his ability to consistently deliver from off-platform. Increasing his ability to make individual plays would raise his floor as a prospect given physical limitations relative to other blue-chip quarterback prospects.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Jake Merklinger
School: Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School
Status: Committed to Tennessee
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 135
On3 NIL Valuation: $318K
Expert’s Take: “Jake Merklinger is an accurate, functionally mobile passer with a strong feel for the game. Measured at around 6-foot-3, 195 pounds prior to his senior season. Hand size has been measured between 9 and 9.25 inches. Among the more accurate and efficient top quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle.Sees the field well, finding open receivers while under pressure. Shows the ability to quickly react and escape from pass rushers. Functional mobility both in and out of the pocket is among the best among top 2024 quarterbacks at this juncture. Throws with timing and touch. Sees the field well. Can pick up chunks of yards with his legs on designed runs and scrambles. Completed 67% of his passes for 1,987 yards and 32 touchdowns against 2 interceptions as a junior. Does not pass as much as many of his blue-chip peers but is very efficient, with a stellar 13.7 yards per attempt. Does not appear to be as naturally gifted as a pure passer as some other top quarterback prospects relative to arm strength and throwing mechanics. Also plays basketball for his high school.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Cutter Boley
School: Hodgenville (Ky.) Lexington Christian Academy
Status: Committed to Kentucky
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 136
On3 NIL Valuation: $278K
Expert’s Take: “Cutter Boley is a strong-armed pocket passer with prototypical size. Measures in at 6-foot-5 and over 200 pounds. Owns a big frame with a hand-size that measures around 10.25 inches. Has notable arm talent. The football comes out of his hand as cleanly as any top quarterback in the cycle. Capable of standing in the pocket and driving the ball downfield and out to the boundary with ease. Shows the ability to layer and locate his throws. Looks to be very comfortable in working off of play action. Should see a seamless fit in running pro-style offenses. Projects as a pocket passer but does show some satisfactory movement skills with the ability to move within the pocket and pick up some yards when things break down. Completed 63.5% of his passes for 3,901 yards and 36 touchdowns against 15 interceptions while leading Lexington Christian to the state semifinals in 2022. Will need to cut down on interceptions and improve his overall efficiency as he continues to develop, but has notable upside as a passer with his arm and size.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Four-Star QB Walker White
School: Little Rock (Ark.) Little Rock Christian Academy
Status: Committed to Auburn
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 138
On3 NIL Valuation: $264K
Expert’s Take: “Walker White is a physically-developed quarterback with prototypical size, a strong arm and ability as a power runner. Has a muscled, filled-out build as one of the more developed quarterback prospects in the 2024 cycle. Measured at over 6-foot-3 and around 220 pounds prior to his junior season. Hand size has measured between 9.75 and 10 inches. Flashes a strong arm. Has the ability to make high level throws when everything is on time and in rhythm. Plays with good reactive quickness and has the functional mobility to escape the pass rush. A tough, physical runner who brings a power run element, particularly in short yardage and goal line situations. Completed 53.2% of his passes for 1,975 yards and 25 touchdowns against 9 interceptions as a junior. Rushed for 837 yards and 16 touchdowns on 102 carries. Not as efficient as most of his blue-chip peers as a passer in part due to accuracy and decision-making. Has the physical tools to be among the best in the cycle, but needs to develop his feel and confidence as a player to tap into that upside. A tad older for the cycle, turning 18 years-old in May of his junior year.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
