Tennessee signees AFI

The state of Tennessee produced 11 blue-chip prospects in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Just one is yet to sign with a college program, as of Dec. 26.

Five of the Volunteer State standouts have opted to stay home, with four signing with Tennessee and one inking with Vanderbilt. Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M and Colorado have officially signed one, too, while Georgia has a commit that it is still looking to sign during the February window.

Below are where the top 10 prospects from Tennessee in the 2025 cycle have signed:

1. QB George MacIntyre — Tennessee

School: Nashville Brentwood Academy
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 110 NATL. (No. 12 QB)

Scouting Summary: “Tall signal caller with strong projectable tools as a passer and playmaker. Measured in at around 6-foot-5.5, 185 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his junior season. Has a tall, wiry build that should continue to fill out over time. Touts a tight, compact throwing motion. The release is whippy quick at times. Flashes solid arm strength, with the ability to flick passes out to the boundary and downfield. Mechanical foundation points to a baseline level of accuracy.

“A bouncy, light-footed mover within the pocket. Avoids pressure in the backfield, stepping up in the pocket. Capable of making high-level second-reaction plays. Has encouraging improvisational skills. Shows a long stride in the open field. Doubles as a high-level high school basketball player and received high major looks as an underclassman. Plays a tough schedule, but does not have the production or efficiency typical of an elite quarterback prospect. High school team struggled in his junior season. Does not always spin the ball well. Will need to continue making strides as a player on Friday night and adding weight to his frame.”

2. RB Shekai Mills-Knight — Ole Miss

School: Chattanooga Baylor School
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 135 NATL. (No. 8 RB)

Scout’s Take: “The flashes we’ve seen are very exciting and we’re bullish on his translatable skills,” On3’s Charles Power said of Mills-Knight to OM Spirit. “His pure athletic traits and physical traits, he’s a guy who can get downhill, run through contact, tough to tackle and can change direction at a high rate for such a bigger back.”

“This is a get that can pay dividends for Ole Miss,” Power said. “We moved him into the On300 this offseason and his ranking is one of the more volatile ones and has a lot of upside to move up if he plays really well as senior.”

3. CB Donovan Starr — Auburn

School: Brentwood Ravenwood
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 160 NATL. (No. 21 CB)

Starr on Auburn: “It was really just Coach Crime, all the coaches,” he told Auburn Live. “Coach Freeze, Coach (DJ) Durkin … all the coaches showing love. They kept it real with me. It is great people there. Everybody around there are just great people. I also love the facilities, love the campus and everything about it. I couldn’t pass it up.”

“I met all the coaches, saw the campus and dorms and all that stuff,” he said. “Coach Crime is a great dude and great coach. He has shown constant love, just being with him the whole time and learning more from him. Coach Crime told me I’m a priority and that sticks out to me a lot. You want to ultimately go where people want you and you’re a priority.”

4. DL Ethan Utley — Tennessee

School: Nashville Ensworth
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 183 NATL. (No. 18 DL)

Scouting Report: “Ethan Utley showcased versatile pass rush ability at Under Armour Nashville. The local product won most if not all of his reps in 1-on-1’s with a nice combination of initial quickness, active hands and functional strength. Utley has mismatch ability as an interior pass rusher along with the skill set to be an edge setter on the outside.”

5. WR Radarious Jackson — Tennessee

School: Memphis Sheffield
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 190 NATL. (No. 24 WR)

Jackson on his commitment: “I chose Tennessee because of the bond I was able to make with the coaches, the atmosphere at practice and how the coaches uplift their players,” he told On3. “The Tennessee offense is one of the best I’ve seen too, so that factored into my decision.”

“Coach Heupel is a cool dude,” Jackson said. “I love his personality and I love the way he coaches. He gives great motivational speeches to his players.”

“I love how Coach Pope can relate to my background,” he added. “I love how he coaches and how Coach Pope lifts his players up and cares for them. He is always pushing his players to do their best and to keep going.”

6. IOL Nic Moore — Tennessee

School: Dandridge Jefferson County
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 212 NATL. (No. 13 IOL)

Moore on his final visit before committing: “This weekend, I came up Friday morning, and I talked to the coaches and spent time with them,” Moore said of what stood out about the visit. “We spent time with our host, and he was really telling us about everything that was going on at Tennessee and about the program because he had played wide receiver there. He was telling me about his experience, then we went tubing which was a lot of fun, we ate a lot of food, and spent time in player and coach meetings. It was a good weekend.”

7. S Carson Lawrence — Vanderbilt

School: Chattanooga McCallie School
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 220 NATL. (No. 18 S)

Senior Season Stats: Lawrence played on both sides of the ball for McCallie — which won 11 games and finished as the No. 1 team in the state of Tennessee, per the On3 Composite Rankings. Lawrence caught 18 passes for 282 yards while also collecting 27 tackles, according to MaxPreps.

8. S Jaylan Morgan — Georgia COMMIT

School: Murfreesboro Rockvale
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 275 NATL. (No. 23 S)

Morgan on his commitment: “The development at Georgia is out of this world,” Morgan told On3. “I haven’t seen anybody besides Alabama when it was coached by Nick Saban produce constant talent for the NFL like Georgia does. I previously had relationships with coach Robinson and coach Williams before they got to Georgia. For them to come to the same school and have the same vision for me, that stuck out to me.”

9. RB Jamarion Morrow — Texas A&M

School: Germantown Melrose
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 301 NATL. (No. 20 RB)

About Morrow: Played quarterback, running back and wide receiver as a senior for Melrose, playing under his father, Jarrett. Morrow led Melrose to the state title game and helped the Wildcats win 12 games. He was a two-way star at Germantown High last season, racking up over 1,200 all-purpose yards and four interceptions.

10. IOL Chauncey Gooden — Colorado

School: Nashville Lipscomb Academy
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 383 NATL. (No. 29 IOL)

Gooden committed to the Buffaloes on June 24, choosing Deion Sanders and Co. over Clemson and over 15 other reported Power Four offers. He took another visit to Boulder just before announcing his commitment. He’s one of 14 signees in the CU class, which ranks No. 34 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
