Where the top 2026 quarterbacks are committed

Quarterback recruiting dominoes are continuing to fall coming out of spring visit season.
Of the 23 blue-chip (four or five-star) QBs in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, 15 are currently committed. That includes eight of the top 15 and three of the top five.
Gavin Sidwar (Missouri), Derek Zammit (Washington) and Jett Thomalla (Iowa State) each pledged across the last week. Thomalla is the No. 16 QB in the cycle and is the latest big name to come off the board.
Below are where the top signal-callers in the 2026 cycle are committed, as of April 22, as well as who’s in position to land some of the top uncommitted QBs in the nation:
1. Jared Curtis
School: Nashville Christian
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 6 NATL.
The Skinny: The nation’s top QB is down to Oregon and Georgia and has locked in a May 5 commitment date. Curtis is a former Georgia commit, but the Ducks currently have the slight edge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year continues to impress with his elite arm talent and will cause some major dominoes to fall once he announces his decision.
2. Faizon Brandon — Tennessee commit
School: Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 7 NATL.
Brandon on his commitment: “It just felt like home. From the beginning, I liked it a lot at Tennessee,” he told On3. “I kept going back and it felt like home from the start. I think I have visited six or seven times now, and I kept getting that good feeling every time I was there. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew it was Tennessee. The feeling for them was different and it never changed. My relationships with coaches on both sides of the ball and the support system make it feel like home at Tennessee.”
3. Keisean Henderson — Houston commit
School: Houston Legacy SSS
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 9 NATL.
Scout’s Take: “Henderson is one of the top athletes in the country regardless of position. With everything we had seen going into the Navy All-American Bowl, we knew that his dynamic ability as a runner and deep ball were quite impressive as a quarterback prospect. However, we felt the junior film left us questioning his consistency and accuracy as a touch passer in the deep/intermediate levels of the field. We knew he had the fastball, but could he throw the slider or the changeup? As we have seen in his ability as a passer throughout his high school journey, we were able to see steady improvement each day of practice, culminating with an On3 MVP performance by the end of Navy All-American Bowl week. Henderson displayed whippy arm action to get the ball out effectively from multiple arm slots. He also showed the fastball during the routes-on-air and 7-on-7 periods in practice.”
4. Ryder Lyons
School: Folsom (Calif.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 10 NATL.
The Skinny: Lyons continues to work through his process, taking visits to the likes of USC, Oregon, BYU, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Michigan. The in-state Trojans continue to trend in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, though other contenders remain thoroughly in the mix. Lyons will take an LDS mission upon graduating high school and will not enroll until 2027.
5. Dia Bell — Texas commit
School: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 14 NATL
Bell on his commitment: “I really enjoyed my visits and have developed great relationships with Coach Sark and Milwee,” Bell told On3. “They are one of the best offenses in the country and have a track record of development at my position. I’m really excited about their move to the SEC and the opportunity to help bring a championship to the 40 acres.”
6. Landon Duckworth
School: Jackson (Ala.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 56 NATL.
The Skinny: Formerly committed to South Carolina, Duckworth is working through his recruitment once again, with Ole Miss, Florida State, North Carolina, Georgia and the Gamecocks among those pushing hard. The Alabama state champion has seen his stock soar ahead of his senior campaign. Official visits this summer will help tell the tale for the 6-foot-3 blue-chipper.
7. Bowe Bentley
School: Celina (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 76 NATL.
The Skinny: Also a state champion in 2024, Bentley is now a bonafide QB recruit and one of the top names to know in the Lone Star State. The gunslinger has named a top three of Oklahoma, Georgia and LSU and has locked in June official visits to each finalist. The Sooners currently have the edge, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

8. Jonas Williams — USC commit
School: Frankfort Heights (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 89 NATL.
Williams on his flip from Oregon: “My favorite things that excite me are the relationships I’ve built with Coach Riley, (Luke) Huard, and the GM Chad Bowden,” he told On3. “That was an important factor for me and knowing that this offense will fit my playing style is reassuring … The culture, the area, center of LA, and the people in the building,” he added of what stands out.
9. Brady Smigiel
School: Newbury Park (Calif.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 92 NATL.
The Skinny: Smigiel is weighing his options once again after decommitting from Florida State. He’s named a top four of UCLA, Michigan, Washington and South Carolina. Relationships and official visits this summer will help the explosive signal-caller reach his final decision. Michigan is beginning to surge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
10. Jake Fette — Arizona State commit
School: El Paso (Texas) Del Valle
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 107 NATL.
Scout’s Take: “Jake Fette is a dynamic playmaker at quarterback. One of the better athletes at QB in the 2026 cycle that we’ve seen thus far,” On3’s Charles Power said. “A guy who’s very explosive with the ball in his hands and is off to a strong start in his junior year. Had a game recently where he threw eight touchdowns in the first half, so he’s playing really well.
“A true dual-threat and a fluid athlete with a good arm. We were high on him coming out of his sophomore year and when we’ve looked at how he’s played to this point as a junior, we felt like his high ranking was merited at this point,” Power said. “A guy who’s floated a little under the radar to this point, from El Paso, a city that’s not loaded with typical blue-chip prospects. What we’ve seen from Fette this far, the overall athleticism and playmaking, has been very encouraging.”
